Since the other screenshot thread is refusing to load properly even on my potent computer - it's time for a new one.

I'm flying Tontouta to Honolulu with Concorde G-BOAF. Fortunately I got runway 29 for take-off, the other way would not work. I expect it would have been Concorde slamming into a hill.  Wow!

I had a vR of 193kts! I taxied out and slowly down the runway before doing a U-turn, taking care to do it in the least amount of space possible. My care was rewarded with adequate runway left after rotation.

Takeoff:

Very nice pictures! Is that Concorde a freebie, or payware? I'm mostly flying A319/B738 for my VA, so I'm quite envious of those mach speeds

Flightsimlabs Concorde - a payware one, but also a very, very good one too. Lots of learning to do if you want to fly it well.

So terrible having to trundle along at M0.79 or so.  I'm doing that speed at something like 9000ft!

Now, jokes aside - it's a serious full on simulation. To give you an idea, even the cabin display has to be programmed before you start for it to work properly. The inertial navigation systems need to be aligned, or you can use the auto-start to have everything ready to go. You still need to know how to do things like INS DME updating, and it helps to have a thorough grounding in Concorde systems and procedures. You can get that with the ITVV Concorde twin-DVD set.

Otherwise, I'm here to answer your questions. Just don't ask the finer details of the fuel system - it was never my strong point.    The autopilot and other systems though are basically very logical and not hard to use.

Here's a few from my last trip. Oslo to Stavanger on Norwegian Air Shuttle B737-800. I also "tried" to do my first videos. Not really what I was aiming for in regards to quality, but I'm still learning so that's okay...

From Honolulu to Anchorage in 2 hours 34 minutes with British Airways Concorde G-BOAF:

Landing in Anchorage:
http://www.racerplanet.com/photoplog/images/2082/1_2012-6-3_14-56-38-560.jpg

Touched down there on runway 32 with a visual approach in clear conditions - but it was very gusty and turbulent, Concorde was rocking about a bit. Still touched down right on the centre line and just a tiny bit short of the piano keys - in a very gentle manner.   Brakes heated up to about 350C after landing.

Smoking landing!   Fortunately, there are no passengers in FS. I've always thought of trying FSPassengers addon, but I hear they scream in terror when the descent rate is quite high. Nearly every flight I'm doing 7000ft/min or better descent rate.

Thanks! Uhh...well...it's actually the default FSX scenery with all the settings cranked most of the way up, and LHR is just an AFCAD based off the default airport. Very simple!

Hey everyone...been away for awhile again. Shots look great (as always)! Kind-of got burnt out on the flight sim, and decided to re-discover playing guitar. That being said, after a 7-month hiatus I decided to pick up Carendao's C90B King Air. Anyone else out there have it? It's a nice bird, but still can't touch RealAir's Beech Duke Turbine IMHO. Your thoughts?

I am still hoping back and forth between FS9 and FSX, taking me a while to get used to FSX. This is a recent general aviation flight in the default FS9 C208 between PWK-SUS.

I am working on modifying my AFCAD for more parking, about 50% done with it and already I see much more traffic at SUS, more bizjets and more Cessna's, Pipers and Beech props around now.

Haha, thanks mate! My shots aren't that great, there are lots and lots of quality shots out there and yours are up there to.
I moved in yesterday. But I probably won't bring my Computer, there's just no space in the flat. That's London...for the money I pay for a small room with a bathroom I could have rented a mansion somewhere else and put together a new high-end computer on top of that.

I will be "home" (in Germany, where my Computer is) every now and then though, so maybe I'll get the chance to do a flight or two then... In the meantime I enjoy what London has to offer, and looking at the shots on here when I need my FS-fix!

Welcome back.

Here are some shots of a short and quick flight. Flew out of TYS and landed about 80 miles to the east at 2NC0, Mountain Air in the mountains of North Carolina. Default airport is not much in FS9, but in real life, it is a challenge. Still was no picnic in FS9.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%206/ScreenShot04.jpg
On the active at TYS with a Delta Connection CR2 waiting on me to get out of the way.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%206/ScreenShot14.jpg
My flight level of 9,000ft kept me in the clouds for much of the flight.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%206/ScreenShot15.jpg
With no instruments at 2NC0, starting to get a bit worried about landing there, might need to divert.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%206/ScreenShot17.jpg
Once I descended to 6,400ft, I was below the clouds and there was no visibility problems at 2NC0.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%206/ScreenShot19.jpg
Trees everywhere! In real life there is a country club/pool right off of the runway!

Air India? or AI Traffic?

AI Traffic, United Traffic Group released an AI 787 a while ago, think it´s the only one available at the moment.

http://unitedtrafficteam.com/

Lots of repaints for it in AVSIM or try this guy who made some lovely repaints.

If you have any troubles finding the models, let me know and I can send it to you   free of charge LOL.

As for flyable 787s... think there is Camil Valiquettes models, and some payware one I have seen some repaints popping up in Avsim.

Sorry AI traffic. A little oversight on my behalf.

No what it is, I haven't really touched FSX in a while due to being bogged under a mountain of studying. Becoming an Aerospace Engineer isn't easy apparently

It would appear that the 787 model is currently going through a rebuild which I will happily wait for, but many thanks for the link MIA.
Only when you've been away from FSX for so long, so you realise how out of date your AI actually is.
Did a short hop into Glasgow the other day and heard "Kestrel" over the radio-waves. Expecting it to be Thomas Cook; you can imagine my horror when a certain orange, white and blue Airbus arrives behind me.

They are also working on an updated B787-8 as well. They also released the B747-8 and are also updating the Globusworld SSJ-100 as well. Don't have the CLS A330 unfortunately but I've got an unreleased SQ A333 for the Overland model (not compatible in this instance with CLS) sitting on my hard drive. If there's an appetite for it I may get it packaged and released.

And what a very pretty girl she is! Seriously, now that BMI's livery is being painted over, Virgin Atlantic's A340s are the nicest looking planes around.
I've downloaded it but won't have a chance to do any (virtual) flying for a few weeks.

That´s true, another gorgeous livery down the crapper. An A346 or A380 would´ve been cool....

Right, finally I had some free time to do a bit of FS today.

Trying out a new airline, Peach Aviation from Japan. read a TR on this site and it got me interested... and they fly A320s

Flight MM5 from Osaka Kansai to Seoul Incheon.

Just before boarding this gorgeous girl!

En route, eating the miles like a boss.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y243/A330Driver/MM2.jpg

Hmmm... peachy.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y243/A330Driver/MM3.jpg

After an hour and a bit, we reach Seoul HUGHE Incheon Airport.

Looks like the Oryx wants to have a bit of peach.

Some birds form around the world at the Satellite terminal of Incheon.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y243/A330Driver/MM5.jpg

I was climbing out of ICN for the return leg, but FS started acting FS-ish and crashed (Or I was probably shot down by the North Koreans)

First flight in a long time. Been flying around Arizona and this flight found me flying SEZ-LAS in the FS9 default C172.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot00.jpg
Early morning startup, looks like winter has hit Sedona.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot03.jpg
FS9 and Ground Environment Pro does not do justice for the scenery of Sedona. It is breathtaking in real life.

Heading towards LAS

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot09.jpg
The Arizona terrain does change drastically depending on the region, it gets brown once out of the mountains and red rock areas.

Right on the center line, not bad for a visual (for me at least)

Pulling off of the active and waiting for parking instructions

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot21.jpg
Did not realize that BA has a big heavy presence in LAS

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot22.jpg
Pretty soon the Mad Dogs will be replaced with A319s

Holding before crossing another active runway, an AS B738 is slowing down upon arrival

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/FS9/Flight%208/ScreenShot27.jpg
I requested West Parking, didn't realize it would be with the Janet guys. Hope they do not mind.

I think my next flight will be a quick hop into SAN.

For some real pics of Sedona, Airzona, see these http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/csturdiv/Arizona/Sedona/. Took them last October when I visited family out in Phoenix. There are also some shots from around the airport and a couple of videos of a helicopter tour I took of the Sedona area.
