Does anyone have the Gemini Jets Iran Air 747SP-86 (EP-IAA) or the Aviation 400 747-286BM (EP-IAH)? How are they in terms of accuracy? With the Gemini Jets release, I am concerned about the accuracy of the cockpit windows - although the GJ photos show the correct windows, many of the pictures of the actual model I have seen have cockpit windows that more closely resemble that of a Canadair CRJ. With the Aviation 400 release, is there any plastic? The wings and tail have me suspect. I love these airliners and am very interested in Iran Air, but I am worried about shelling out hard-earned money for models that are not good quality. Any help here would be most gratefully appreciated!

I have an IR 747SP from Gemini Jets. I like it, but I'm not a stickler for the small details... I'm away at the moment, so I've attached a picture of the model. Sorry for the quality, it's a couple of years old and the only thing I've got. It does show the cockpit windows; judge for yourself:



I'm also quite interested in IR, seeing as my father used to fly them... I've got a few models, here is my favorite of my IR set:



My real goal is to get a 747SP in the old livery (like the one shown above) but without the 'Islamic Republic of Iran' titiles. One day...

Thanks for your info and the pictures, Braniff747SP. It looks like I'll be stuck with the faulty cockpit windows, but the rest of the model looks very nice and still worth buying (it's much better than Herpa's 1:500 offering). That older 747-286 is a nice model!

You have probably seen the In Flight 200 offering of the IA 747SP-86 in the older colors. I, too, would love to have that one, but it is way out of my price range (at least for now).

Yeah, the -SP is still a nice model... Certainly worth it.

InFlight 200 models are beautiful, but normally waaay out of my price range. I only have one, an IB TriStar. Got a good deal on that one. The IR 747SP would be a dream... But my Bader -200 is good enough for me!
