I've been doing some clearing-out and came across these old postcards. They obviously aren't eligible for the photos section of this site, but I thought I'd post them here, seeing that, with their old aircraft and exaggerated colours, they have a wonderful retro quality to them.

Maybe we could get a whole thread of them! Feel free to post.

Your Dublin pic is taken from where some of the Ryanair gates are now a days, isn't it?

I have a couple of old postcards of FWA, when it was Fort Wayne Municipal Airport (Baer Field):

Late 1970s/early 1980s:

There are no airplanes visible, but these still are historically important postcards of my hometown airport! They are prized postcards in my small postcard collection. You can imagine, in the upper photo, a time when TWA propliners or Delta DC-9s or other early jets would pull up alongside the small terminal and deplane via airstairs. In the lower photo, you can imagine DL 727s or DC-9s or Piedmont 737s or other early mainline jets at the two jetways and early regionals parked around the unique glass-box regional gate area.

I also have a lot of 747 postcards, but they are in the USA and I'm here in the UK, so they're not available to show here.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made... (Psalm 139:14)

Yes. That's the original airport terminal and it's now a listed building.

Here are a couple more:
