Yea I rember buying this plane in the summer of 04. It is a great add on very realistic, and you have to love the random flame outs and engine fires. All the systems of the 742 its a great plane. I remember the one of the guys at paneshop gave me a free download of the aircraft when my computer crashed a year ago. They were very nice about letting me download the plane again for free. Great to see a product like this out for everyone and its a top of a line product worth more than $20 and now free! If you like real classic flying this is a must have!

I've just downloaded this package, I must say absolutely awesome. I never really thought about buying it off Justflight and now that its free I thought might as well. I'm finding it much more enjoyable than flying the Level-D as its more hand-ons flying, scary how advanced they were in the 60's.

Quoting JohnKrist (Reply 3): I'm not sure I understand you, ofcourse you can't use the VC, but the 2D panel should be no problem?
Sometimes the panel is finetuned to a particular visual model. Hence why it is necessary to adapt the flight dynamics in order for a panel to work. That's a merge in FS basically. So I can't just use the model with the RFP panel just like that.

Just checked out the Posky forum... that idiot of Warren just shut down the topic regarding the merge
The Opensky plane was not developed for, nor tested with,
the RFP panel, although it should work.
User edits and merges are not supported. Swaping parts
are certainly not supported. Also, we don't Opensky
vs. PMDG vs. RFP posts here.
Sorry guys, I'm going to have to shut this one down.
We cannot be responsible, nor predict what happens
when users start to mis-and-match parts.
Please email each other, and do not upload your merges.
This guys is seriously a idiot. He cant accep the fact that Posky 747's have no decent panels and so does not want his planes to get compared with others bla bla bla. I dont undestand where he sees a problem merging RFP Panel and Posky 747..
Anyways now that nobody will upload it from over there i will get the merge and upload it myself to Avsim.

I downloaded the free version - read through just about everything and cannot locate the Passenge/Cargo loader nor the Takeoff calculator. The documentation mentions that it is on my desktop, but that is just not the case. I only have two icons that appeared on my desktop - "Where are the Manuals"" and "RFP Update"
