Based off of a similar thread by COEWR777 that eventually faded out and went old.

Here is the new thread, new objects, different points etc.

You will be given 15000 points to begin with. You use these points to build everything to build a complete airport as big or as little as you want. If someone else adds flights to your airport, you get 100 points per flight. To add flights you must have airlines, when you add a flight you lose 15 or 20 points depending on what type of flight it is, Domestic or International.

Lets say player ABC adds flight to XYZ, the player that operates XYZ earns 100 points, and the person who added the flight loses 15 or 20, depending on the flight. To add a flight to an airport with a player operating it, you must have an agreement with the player from that airport to add the flight. For airports with no players operating them, obviously no agreement is to be made, so add the flight at your discretion.

To add an airline, it will cost you 150 points.

OK, it's a little complicated but I'll have a go at joining in, although the terminal is meant solely for one airline it could be problematic. Think me a little weird, but I have more operations like this than you could ever imagine going on in my imagination... I actually use it as a method of winding down in bed at the end of the day before going to sleep... you'll see a bit of it gets mixed up in the below.

The airport is based very roughly South East of Urumqi in China, on an abandoned Chinese military location; the area is very remote, there being only a small city which formerly served the tertiary needs of the base. However, it's location falls under the path of many major Europe-Asia air routes. For this reason, NIA - Nepal International Airlines shifted their main base from KTM to this preferable location where there was flat ground not surrounded by high peaks to expand a dedicated airport for their hub operation. The idea is to tap even further into this market using special customs provisions granted on the basis that it is used solely as a transit hub (to begin with), thus passengers are not able to start or finish their journeys from this location. A customs facility though will be provided, by means of a bus to a separate and much smaller terminal for the city itself, thus allowing some domestic traffic.

The construction of the airport was allowed on the basis that it would act as a vehicle for employment and regeneration in the region, with the eventual hope of bringing inward investment. This may include the transfer of the production of aircraft* to the expansive ex military site. It is aimed to transfer the city into a financial business hub for North West China in 10 years. The terminal is a module and lies on one side of the runway, whilst the old domestic terminal is on the other. It is aimed that at least two further of these modules will be added and linked with a rapid transport system. Concurrently, another 14,000ft runway would be constructed on the other side of the terminal. Space is assigned for up to 4 parallel runways.

*See below destinations for the range of K aircraft.

So, here goes to start with;

Runway: 14,000ft = 600 points (11,000ft + 3000ft or 500+100, needed due to an elevation of 2000m ASL)
Control Tower: 1 = 500 points
Domestic gates: 2 = 200 points
'A' International gates: 26 = 3250 points
'B' International gates: 10 = 1125 points (bus gates)
Customs facility: 1 = 200 points
'A' Security checkpoints: 54 = 6625 points (1 for domestic terminal and 2 each for the gates*)
'B' Security checkpoints: 10 = 1000 points
Cargo building: 1 = 400 points
Ground service equipment building: 2 = 200 points
Fire station: 1 = 150 points
General aviation ramp: 1 = 200 points
Administration building**: 1 = 200 points

*Terminal operates on a split system, enables seamless operation of the A380. The upper level is for premium passengers only and leads directly from the aircraft, via walkways over the main terminal below, to a large business and first class lounge which extends as a central island throughout the entire terminal. Also contains dedicated 'premium' check in desks to hotel mentioned below...

**Administration building is located above the terminal at the top of a hotel. Idea being that all departures are based around three 'waves' - should your flight arrive on one wave and then depart on another, a complimentary hotel room is provided in the ticket price. Your standard of room will depend on the ticketing class.

So that makes any sense, here's an explanation of the types in the fleet. The KC558 twin jet is similar to a 777 in appearance, only seats 12 abreast in a 2-4-4-2 combination. I can't remember what KC means though, that's the only problem, it's something I thought up yonks back and which then stuck:

K254 = KC 258-400 ... 220 pax in 3 class (Tri-jet, identical design to MD-11)
K551 = KC 558-100 ... 240 pax in 3 class (Shortest in family of 558, speciality range of 10,500mi)
K552 = KC 558-200 ... 320 pax in 3 class (Range of 8500mi)
K553 = KC 558-300 ... 400 pax in 3 class (Replaced 744's in fleet)
A388 = A380-800 ... 480 pax in 3 class (Assumed built and in service for a while)
A389 = A380-900 ... 590 pax in 3 class (Yes, I have assumed they have designed and built it already Big grin )

Total points used in construction of my airport to transfer the airline to: 14,650

I will try to post some maps and diagrams if I have the time and, yes, I have far too great an imagination!

You have 350 points left + 200 = 550 points left. Correct me if my math is wrong  Wink

1900 to go

1,900 + 200 = 2,100.

Thanks for playing guys, hopefully some more people will start in, make it more interesting.

BTW, did you guys count in the price of each flight? If not you don't have to completely redo the airport to cut costs to pay for the flights. We'll figuire out a way to pay without doing that.

Just a question, would it be possible to make it say 50 points to add an airline, but that airline is never allowed to operate any more than 5 flights? 150 points for only a couple of flights it a little outrageous.

Due to the majority of carriers moving from Dublin/Swords airport to Dublin/Weston airport because of better facilities, links and lower costs. Dulin/Swords is going to be closing down and the land sold off to housing developers. The displaced airlines will now be housed at the new Dublin/Weston airport. More facilities have been purchased.

Just a question, would it be possible to make it say 50 points to add an airline, but that airline is never allowed to operate any more than 5 flights? 150 points for only a couple of flights it a little outrageous.

Very good point. Airlines are now 50 points each. I will be giving refunds now.

PlymSpotter gets a refund of 1,200 points.

EXTSpotter get 4,200 points refunded

QFA380 gets 1,700 points refunded.

Correct me if my math is wrong.

Two new announcements.

Ryanair's outspoken CEO, Michael O'Leary has announced orders for 100 Boeing 787 and 50 Airbus A380 aircraft. To be based at Dublin Weston and London Stansted for longhaul low cost travel. To start the building up of service, the Ryanair chairman is leasing Boeing 747, 767, 777, Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft to cover in the short term.

Service of this new airline at Dublin shall be in the near future, where it is thought 15 747s, 40 767s and 30 A330s will be based.

In the other announcement, Emirates is proud to pronounce that Dublin Weston will become its European hub when EU - UAE and UAE - US Openskies agreements come in in the near future. Up to 50 widebody aircraft will be based at dublin. Future Emirates orders will be scutanised by the Weston Airport Authority and more will be released soon.

Lets say player ABC adds flight to XYZ, the player that operates XYZ earns 100 points, and the person who added the flight loses 15 or 20, depending on the flight.

How about we add the flight ourselves? We operate ATL, and we want to add DL flight to it, when there is no one playing as the airline?

No one plays as the airline. You build airports and add flights to your airport on any airline. What I said above applies to if you add a flight from your airport, to someone elses airport, I'll use EXTSpotter's airport as an example, you would have to have an agreement from EXTspotter to add the flight so he can build the necessary facilities if he is short, or he can reject the offer if he doesn't have the necessary facilities or the means to build them, or if he just doesn't want the flight to his airport. If you start a flight to an airport that no one is using in the game, you don't have to get ageememnt's because there is no one to get an agreement from.
