I started a few flights from Courchevel, France (CVL/LFLJ) anyways the airport doesn't look anything like the actual airport not even close. For example Courchevel from rwy 5 takeoff is flat and slopes down off the edge of a cliff as some already know http://www.airliners.net/open.file?i...oto_nr=1&prev_id=&next_id=1204392.

In FS9 the runway is flat and doesn't come off a cliff its in a flat field and there are trees at the end of the runway that you have to fly over or crash in to them.

I have great graphics and all the other airports seem fine, I dont expect dynamic scenery either I just expected at least the runway would be up to specs a little. My question is this a bug? ,I did download the SP1 a long time ago for FS9 and no other problems.

I don't think it's a bug. Just MS being lazy or FS9's inability to be worked the right way. I mean, there aren't too many people that care about some random little airport in the French Alps but CVL has a reputation for being rather different, would have been nice if the runway was the right shape but I'm sure we'll live.

BTW, I hate it when I'm flying in and the FS9 ATC tells me to land on runway 5. Absolutely I'm going to dive about 2 thousand feet, just before the runway and pull up to land in however long the runway is. I'm sure a twotter could do it though.  Wink

Having a lil peek on avsim I've managed to find this:

http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.ph...ocation=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=79617

There is also some good looking scenery for Courchevel but thats for FSX.

Enjoy

That's 35euros for the whole package of 4 airports. I guess if someone was French (or another Euro country) and went skiing often in Chourchevel and experienced the approach, then it would be an awesome package.

Sorry to be blunt but if you're going to post an avsim link don't post the download link, because people may want to just look at to see if they should download it.

Last time I checked, you could only post either the download link OR www.avsim.com as the URL doesn't change when you search. Not alot of point just posting www.avsim.com is there?!

Thanks for the link Baldwyn

What about anybody that isn't my age? I know quite a few simmers who are rather old, but being old and retired they musn't have any time, so I think you should post a link to the page rather than the download.

You're saying younger people must have time, so on the other side, older people musn't have time.

Well, off the subject of young versus old, I've noticed that that pack of altiports makes my FS crash about once every 10 minutes if I am within 10 miles of one of the strips...any suggestions?
