I remember from the time that CRJs were introduced to Air Canada, I was a huge fan of them. I tried ERJs for sometime too. Yet, no matter what, I still go back to a CRJ. ERJ's main benefit for me is that I get privacy on the one seater side. That's the only thing, but my main love in terms of RJs is the CRJ (-200, -700, -900).
People, if you're a fan, share your CRJ love here, with the routes and airlines you've flown. My A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E best flight was YYC-PHX on a CR9!!! It was the most comfy CRJ flight I've ever taken!

Flew on one CRJ-200, and it was on SkyWest d/b/a Midwest Connect. Got the exit row, and it was AWESOME! Not too fond of having the ceiling a couple inches away from my ear, and the window positioned with 2-year-olds in mind, but I survived the 1:30 flight from PIT to MKE. Wanna know how much I liked it? I bought the same ticket again

I am pretty tall and I had the worst flights of my life in the CRJs so far...
Not good for me! I was lucky enough to sit from time to time in an emergency exit row, but most of the time I was cramped into some seat!
And my head always hurts when I board the CRJ! I always have to walk with the head tilted down! Its just too small for me...
Well, not a lot better in the ERJ (135 or 145).. Same problem for me here...
Havent been on the CRJ900 yet, but I doubt it will be a lot different there...
That's 14 flights on 100/200 series CRJs... And that's way to much!
Luckily a lot of flights which used to be CRJ services are now operated by 737 aircraft so I'm mostly able to avoid them, and I'm sure doing my best to do so However, I fear that I'm going to be stuck on one of those tubes during summer though...

CRJ's are definitely alright, the longer the better though. I like the frame of it and I've personally found that it handles turbulence much better than an ERJ. I got nauseated for the first time flying on a EWR-YYZ run on ExpressJet. My flights on a CRJ have always run smoother, or else even in bumpy skies, it didn't do so bad, and I'm not as "apprehensive".
I agree that -700s and -900s are better. I like the frame and overall design of it, better than the really narrow pencil that ERJs are. I like riding the ERJ for the one seat sides though, as I mentioned before.
See, one gotta be optimistic, it last farther than 3 replies!

Only smart airlines know how to deal with CRJs. Swap them. Flybe had a few 200s which were absolutely horrid to ride in, I was only 12 at the time and about 5'3 but my neck really hurt from bending ofrwards. Anywho, these were traded in for Q400s and the E195 order was made.

I guess my love grew from working with them. Day in and day out in ATL (guess the company). They are pretty easy to work from a ramper stand-point and loading bags was always pretty interesting. Always competition to see how well you could stack bags, etc. Heck, you could even impress some of the cute ramp girls with your packing skills! Expecially when we have more than 60 bags and they are struggling to mak them all fit. It's pretty weird to imagine it but sometims by the time your done, there is NO room and you can barly close the door sometimes.
I also have tons of pictures of me at the controls. When they are sitting at the gate and there isnt much to do i'll just in practice slows, mess with the rudder peddles, etc.

I have way to many CRJ-100/200 flights to count. Personally im an ERJ fan now but I still like the CRJ's. The cockpit I think is better designed on the CRJ and as a former ramp rat (for delta, used to work Comair/ASA/SkyWest all the time) theyre better than the ERJ.

I like the CRJ-200 in the fact that it looks kinda like a cool plane-perhaps I like winglets (yes I know the E145XR has them...) but the CRJ just looks proportioned right. I work ramp for OO and I have grown rater fond of the -700 having been on them countless times, working around them, seeing them daily, and talking to the pilots about them. Working on them is a blast- and so is walking behind them as they power out of the gate . That and I think the Baggage retrieval system in the front is just plane cool.

Now I just have to ask some of these tall people. What are you talking about? I am 6'3" and the CRJ is plenty comfortable. Infact I would take a Skywest CRJ over a SW 737 in comfort. Maybe I am just odd. I love the CRJ. It is one of those planes, it is small but it seems like a big one. I don't know I fly on CRJs all the time and I find them very enjoyable. Now the ERJ that is one uncomfortable airplane. I am very hard to make uncomfortable and the ERJ is the only plane that has done it. I don't know how people can ride in those. Anyway I am glad I am not alone in my liking.

I am not too big a fan of the CRJ. My very first CRJ flight was from MKE-PHL, and I had the nastiest head and neck ache imaginable. PHL-MKE was even worst. However, I have grown accustomed to the CRJ and have gotten used to flying on it. I certainly like the bigger planes better, and I will take a CR7/CR9/CRX anyday over the CR1/2. I really like the ERJ though. Small and Fast.

First CRJ flight was YYZ-STL back in 1998 with Air Canada. Didn't fly them again until 2002/2003, flying YYZ-CVG-AVL on Delta or YYZ-CLT-AVL on US Airways. Being 6'2", they're not the most comfortable aircraft for my travels, unless I'm able to snag the emergency exit rows.
I find that the DHC-8s are much more comfortable to fly in, along with the ERJs. The updated CRJs (-700/-900) are an improvement, but not by far.
Still my favorite aircraft to tool around in on FS tho.
Aviation is proof that given, the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible.
