Hi
Does anybody know where I can get a (quality) scanner for under $100USD? I'm going on a trip soon (back home) to Australia and I have 4 hours of layover in Chicago and about 7 hours in Los Angeles, so a scanner would help pass the time  Wink
Regards,
Morgan

Try Radio Shack. I bought a small scanner at a Radio Shack in MIA about 8 years ago and it still works fine. Forget how much I paid but I'm sure it was less than $100 then. Other electronics stores should have them also. Here's the relevant page from the Radio Shack site.

Make sure the one you buy includes the VHF aircraft band. My 8-year-old model looks much like the second cheapest $69 one in their website.
