Just thought i would send you a msg as i have problems with my fs9..My name is tony and im located in Dublin i have been a member of a.net for a wee while now...Anyway im sending you this as i have problems with my flight sim it just jams up at varying stages of the flight..I have a duall core athalon processor along with a gig of ram and a 512mb nvidia 7300 gcard.
I run fs9 along active sky6&ut2004,i have loaded the fs9 update from microsoft but still no joy..
I have also tried to run computer monitors while i run the fs but it still freezes which leaves me with the job of having to turn the computer of by hand. The computer doesnt have this problem when i run other programes just fs9..
Maybe the card is overheating but i think its unlikely as the last time i used the sim i took off from eidw in a pmdg738 and after just 1min the thing stops:-(
Its just starting to get to me now cause i know when i want to fly the sim on my day off the only thing i can be certain on in the flight is that i wont be able to complete it cause its going to freeze up on me befor i land.
I never use default a/c mainly pss/leveld and pmdg..
For the record the pc i have is a fujitsu siemens..

Hey. Best option is to reinstall and then install addons one at a time. Chances are it's one addon that's being a bitch and cuasing your FS9 to freeze. Don't know why but ActiveSky is calling at me so maybe try installing that first.

Did you purchase your addons legally or are they pirate (you dont have to answer) but pirate software is known to sometimes be quite buggy and also some "crackers" put trojans and other malicious files in the pirated software. If you did illegally obtain the addons this could be the case and like Jamesbaldwyn said, a complete reinstall of FS and also virus checking your computer.

If they aren't pirate then its likely that your addons are clashing. It could possibly be the PMDG - I heard somewhere that installing the PMDG items in the wrong order can cause freezes I think you have to install the 737 first, and then the 747 if you own both. Not 100% on that.

Best bet is just a complete reinstall of Flight simulator though.

Yeah thanks I've found the installation order:

How do I install the 737NG alongside the 747-400/400F?

Due to an installer issue, the 737 should be installed FIRST, prior to installing the 747-400. You will not be able to run the 747 if you install the 737NG after it.

Here's the proper install order:

1. 737NG 600/700 Main Installer
2. 737NG 600/700 Service Update 1.3 (if main installer is older than SU1.3)
3. 737NG 800/900 Addon
4. 737NG 800/900 Service Update 1 (if main installer is older than SU1)
5. 737NG 600/700 Model Update (updates the models to 800/900 standards)
6. 747-400 Main Installer
7. 747-400 Service Update 1.1 (if main installer is older than SU1.1)
8. 747-400F CARGO Main Installer
9. 747-400F CARGO Service Update 1.01 (if main installer is older than SU1.01)
10. 747-400 Universal Sound Update (if main installer predates the sound update)

What order did you install your PMDG stuff in? thats if you have both of course.
