I was going through a box of old super 8 mm films and came across some interesting footage I took in May 1980 from the old Atlanta airport terminal. I wanted to share with everyone. Sorry, the quality is poor (jerky, grainy) but the content is interesting. Oh, I miss those grand L-1011s.

Love it! Frankly, the quality doesn't matter much to me. It was great finally getting to see Eastern, Piedmont and the TriStars in action. Thanks a million for sharing. It was totally worth it.

Very unique and interesting. I like how the views keep changing and it's not the same clip for 3 minutes. Most the vids on fl350 can get kind of boring after a while, but this keeps your eye interested. Great background music as well.

Absolutely beautiful. That video almost made me tear up. Seeing all those L1011's and DC9's reminds me of my early childhood when they were it. In 1980 I was 8 years old and highly enthusiastic about aviation. I had plastic, diecast, and pictures of all those planes, but there was no youtube or A.NET back then. It was nearly impossible to see planes without going to the airport. Its nice to see what was actually going on when I was just using my imagination.

Most interesting video. Now we all know why ATL needed a new terminal.....airplanes parked everywhere in your video.
Reminded me of Midway in 58 and 59, only with props.
