Processor:
1. How much better is this one over Intel® Core™2 Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.4GHz,1066FSB)?
2. How much better would Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Processor Q9450 (12MB Cache,2.66GHz,1333FSB) be over the one I'm selecting?
Graphics Card:
Basically, which one is better, the ATI selected, or the nVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB?
These are specs from the Dell website. What are some websites where you can buy parts to build your own computer?
Thanks in advance!

that should be more than enough to run FSX, i have about half of everything on there (cut the numbers in half except for i have a 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo) on my imac and it runs perfectly on the highest settings.

I have looked at some benchmarking sites on the ATI v' Geforce video cards (eg. Tom's Hardware) and it all seems to point towards the Geforce card for FSX. Despite your available graphics grunt though, FSX appears to be quite processor hungry.
I have a 8800 GTS320 on a machine running Vista, a Q6600 processor and 4GB of 800MHz memory, and with some tweeking I am getting FSX (+ SP1 and SP2/Acceleration) to a reasonable framerate. nVidea has recently released some new drivers for their 8xxx series cards, and I have had a noticeable improvement in both stability and framerate. In particular, heavy clouds don't seem to create as big a drag on the output.
