As a avid FS flyer I've dumped quite a lot of $ and time looking for the best scenery to fly in. One thing I've been kinda surprised is that their hasn't been any update/work on a good scenery for DFW. Does anyone know if someone is working on one? I've looked at Imaginesim and their next project is IAD, which is fine. Fly Tampa just got done with Hong Kong and leaning more international of late. But what of the 6th busiest airport in the world, AA largest hub, plus with a new beautifully done terminal? I have World Airports (aka. simflyers) interpretation but it's dated by todays standard.
So I ask is there hope on the horizon?

Hope is, indeed on the horizon, VI. FSDreamteam is planning a DFW scenery, as soon as they finish with KJFK (another, much needed US airport scenery). More information can be found in this thread. Scroll down to reply 78 to see the "official" release. These guys make some fantastic sceneries, so I'm looking forward to both JFK and DFW. AFAIK, no screenshots, yet, however.

Thanks Cameron. That's more than hope, I bought FSDreamteams KORD and I was blow away with the detail ( I actually work there and the detail they did is just wow). So a DFW from them just went to a must buy, plus JFK from them.

But I do not buy Megasceneries, cause I am not a fan of the satellite imaging, yes its good and nice, but the part I dont like is the end of the scenery. Its like entering a new World, you can see the straight edge of where the new textures start. Its a big turnoff for me, unless they could angle it out and mesh it toward the default surrounding area so it does not look affected once you enter the sattelite imaged area.

Anyone still using the Simflyers scenery, I've modified the AFCAD and added Terminal D to it for personal use. It's also quite easy to improve the frame rates by removing the Simflyers' jetways and using resized FS9 default ones. If anyone's interested, let me know.

Quoting CO777ER (Reply 9): IAH is the next that needs to be done. Mach1 released a free one, but there needs to be something professionally done.
Amen to that.. These r big airports. I got a list of ones I would love to see (mostly regional airports) but of the Majors that still are missing IAH redue, a quailty YVR, ANC, and MEX are lacking.

You've never seen Nigel Grant's YVR? Really not at all bad in its latest incarnation. How about the FlyMex MEX? Not bad at all, and I just upgraded it to include terminal 2.
