Hi all...
Hope everyone is having a nice month of August...
We've been working VERY hard and right now are completing the production of our 5th new program to be released in the next few months... and in addition to that our film crews have completed another 4-5 programs which will go into production soon... so all in all 10 new programs being worked on for the WAR series at this time...

I would say that they're all small to medium size airlines, our preferred choice, and about half are airlines new to the series while the others are airlines we've already filmed in the past. Its always a good sign when an airline wants you back for more filming I'd say...
It gets hard to find new airlines when you've filmed more than 200 of them...

So the plan for the remainder of the year starting in early September is to have a new release every 2 weeks or so...

That's about all the news for now.
Cheers from Boston!

It really depends when... most people are on the road most of the time... The only thing that's there all the time is the warehouse but its not open to the public and it would be a boring visit, trust me... just rows and rows of boxes stacked up...

Does this include re-releases? So is there a possibility of seeing a "new" dvd almost every week? Also which friday will the 1st one be released?

Either way this is great to hear, and i'm looking forward to what you guys have coming up.

All the titles mentioned above are new programs... no re-releases are in the schedule yet but I believe 1 sold out program is about to be confirmed for a re-release and talks about a video program to be re-released on DVD... so those 2 would be additional... maybe more who knows...

Unfortunately we're not... We don't film as much as we once used to...
In 2003 we filmed nearly 500 flights but now that number is more around 150 to 200 a year and the staff we have easily covers that.

This sounds mysterious Yes an existing airline but does not exist could mean an airline that has changed name eg Hapag Lloyd now TUIfly or a company such as Nationwide. one that did exist but is now no more

th release Re-release of a sold out program

I have this programe but i hope it is the Austrian Airbus A-330 as i understand it is a popular programme.

What ever comes out i am sure they will have a difficult road ahead of them trying to live up to the reputation of the previous relases, though i'm sure they will give it a good try.

JP I have just been browsing your great new website and have one little suggestion you could think over. In the "List of Airports" page off the homepage it would be good if you could click on a praticular airport from the list and have it take you to the DVD that the airport is featured in.

I was looking for Oslo Torp as I flew from there yesterday and found it on the list but it took a lot of searching to find that it is featured on the Good Jet DVD. It would have been much easier to just click and be taken to that DVD's page.

That's just my thoughts anyway.

Any idea when in September the first DVD will be out? My birthday is 13th Sept so would be cool to have a new DVD to ask for as a present.  Smile

BW424 : Agreed. An Austiran 767 longhaul and the 737NG shorthaul would be very welcomed!
JustPlanes : There seems to be a lot of interest in an Austrian 767... Perhaps we should take a closer look at this and see if the airline is wiling to let us film
BW424 : I guess that's a "no" for this week's release, however,IMHO,an Austrian 767 DVD would be great if permitted. Well,I'm goin to take a stab at it and sa
Midcon385 : That was my second thought after Austrian. Tim
PHLstudent : or he is being slick for this week's release!
JustPlanes : slick off course
BW424 : LOL.Now I really don't have a clue!!!!We'll just have to wait patiently I guess.
Midcon385 : I hope that the rumored sale of AUA to DLH doesn't affect that... Looking forward to tomorrow's release, justplanes! Tim
Midcon385 : Ohhh, VERY slick indeed, JustPlanes! Thanks so much for the AUA 767 and the A330 re-release. Expect an order from me of several DVDs very shortly! Go
Phlstudent : This is great! I will definitly be making an order for both of these this weekend. It seems as though a nice relationship has been created with the Au
777guy : My MY....you are clever! I am not sure if you are aware or not but when you go on WAR site and try to click on any of the three Austrian programs the
757767lover : Well done JPV the 767 looks a great film but as name might give something away i am a little bias. I cannot give a reveiw that you could post for the
Midcon385 : Actually it opens an Austrian page for the three programs. Scroll down and you will see the other ones. At least that's how it works for me. I bought
777guy : Well so much for my computer skills! I do not seem to know how to scroll today. Maybe I should have finished my second cup of coffee first. Works fin
Midcon385 : No problem. Happens to all of us sometimes... Tim
BW424 : WHOA!! Its like a dream come true!I guess Christmas came early for alot of us!!!Thanks JustPlanes so much for releasing another program on this great
Post contains links JustPlanes : Let me know what defaults to the 777 page... You probably mean they all default to this page http://www.worldairroutes.com/Austrian.html That is beca
JustPlanes : Yes indeed... a very nice relationship just like we had with the Sabena group in the past... It won't bleed over into Lufthansa, that I can pretty mu
JustPlanes : Thank you very much Tim! A nice selection and very different programs.. Hopefully you enjoy them all!
PHLstudent : That's a shame that Lufthansa is difficult to deal with (If I'm reading between the lines right). It would have been great to a program from them. An
JustPlanes : Happy to help... We still have 2 smaller airlines coming before the end of the year... no big blockbuster airlines but nevertheless interesting carri
JustPlanes : I would not expect an A380 DVD in the next few years... The airlines that are operating the plane are just not the ones we work with... Maybe in a fe
PHLstudent : haha can we assume that you already have an agreement with an airline for this video? If the 787 every takes off that is.. I just watched the youtube
BW424 : A shame indeed if that were to happen. But seriously JP,you caught me big time with this release.I'm sure this is just as good as the 777 DVD! Looking
Midcon385 : A shame for all of us indeed. You've got to love having a working relationship with a great airline that seems to definitely go the extra mile for th
Midcon385 : You're not kidding... Tim
JustPlanes : No point in trying to make an agreement for the 787... the people we'd make an agreement with now could very likely not be the people in charge in 20
757767lover : [ Yes looking at the clip there willingness to tell us they had a fuel inbalance i think showed that they did not mind what went out. Any clues on the
JustPlanes : Its in Europe...
Blue_Angel : Will it be a twin engine ?
Navymmw : Just ordered the VG airlines A330 and I'm quite excited. This will be my first Just planes video. Anyway if I like this DVD I'm going to order another
Blue_Angel : Yeah HD would be incredibly cool ! As for the Austrian programs, it seems that the new 767 dvd is very interesting !
Midcon385 : The Styrian program is fantastic, a great look at CRJ operations in Europe. It's a great value for your money to get it half price with purchase of o
777guy : I have the Austrian 777 and have always thoroughly enjoyed viewing it multiple times. It has interesting destinations as well as a great flight crew.
JustPlanes : As far as the next program... no twin engine... sorry guess again As far as HD... Our studies reveal its not time to move on to the next format yet...
757767lover : Are we talking multi engine or single Simon
BW424 : I guess its a quad or a three-holer?Will be interesting to see the release.
Christian : Perhaps Austrian A-340?
EMA747 : MD11? I can hope at least.
JustPlanes : OK so every day this week I'll give out a clue... lets see if anyone can get warm... 1st clue Short-Medium Range aircraft
CB777 : I hope its not another BAE 146
JustPlanes : What's wrong with the BAe146
Midcon385 : Finally got a BAe146 program with the Albanian program, and I rather like it! The BAe146 is a neat aircraft. Tim
JustPlanes : See the thing about World Air Routes... its not based on the type of aircraft... It is based on the Airline and the Routes/Destinations... We're alway
PHLstudent : Yes and No. You need SOME variety as to aircraft type and destinations. I wouldn't want to see FRA-LHR 10 times but with all different aircraft types
JustPlanes : Right agreed. Having featured around 70 types of aircraft and 750 destinations so far I think we're fine there... but obviously when you've produced
PHLstudent : I completely understand. Is it the airline not wanting to risk it with US authorities or do US authorities prevent you from sitting in the cockpit? H
Sunstar : J.P have you guys considered maybe doing more coporate jet stuff here in the U.S. like the Ameristar DVD or even in another country. Would be nice to
JustPlanes : Its not the airlines... and I'm not sure it will improve...
JustPlanes : In order for us to consider a program the company must be an airline with actual air routes... otherwise it would not fit in the series... Ameristar
EMA747 : What is the region of the new DVD?
JustPlanes : 2nd clue Europe
757767lover : Hay wait a minute you already gave that clue in reply No 161 So to re-cap it is in Europe med/short Question 3 Jet or Prop If it is Jet i'm going to
Midcon385 : If LH is so hard to work with, I highly doubt it. Tim
757767lover : As Cargo are a separate company and the only other tri jet in Europe is KLM I thought it might be; but we need to know if it is jets or props then ho
JustPlanes : Hey Simon... that's not a short-medium range aircraft...
EHRD : Don't forget Finnair, they also have some tri-jets (but not for long unfortunately) Hmm... no twin engine aircraft and it is a Short-Medium Range air
BW424 : I'm going to say Eurowings BAE 146
EMA747 : How about a return to Swiss with the Avro RJ? I've flown on quite a few LX RJs so that would be nice to see.
757767lover : Good point It is a new airline so it carn't be the SWISS unfortuneatly, i would like to return to the SWISS RJ/146 Simon
JustPlanes : 3rd clue The airline is from a country we have no other airlines from... Final clue tomorrow enjoy!
EHRD : IIRC there is no Greek airline featured yet so my guess will be Aegean RJ100
EHRD : I still have the Crossair video, that is one of my favourite. Nice flights with the MD82 to FNC, Embraer 145 to MAN, RJ100 to LCY and Saab 2000 to LU
EMA747 : How about Hemus Air of Bulgaria? There are no airlines from Bulgaria yet are there?
JustPlanes : 2 excellent guesses but you'll have to wait for clue nbr 4 to see if you are right
757767lover : Now that would be nice fly to the Greek islands. [quote=EHRD,reply=195]I still have the Crossair video, that is one of my favourite[/quote I stand co
JustPlanes : 4th and final clue... The airline also owns a few helicopters
Post contains images EHRD : Well....after long and hard thinking I think I know now.... Atlantic Airlines from the Faroe Island Am I right ? Did I win a free copy ?? [Edited 2008
EMA747 : Just got the email and yes you are right. Well done. I did think I might be right myself for once. The new DVD looks good though. The chopper flights
BW424 : Interesting release JP!What I like is the external action footage of the aircraft landing and possibly taking off.You should really try and get that i
JustPlanes : We always try to include some external action from ramp, takeoff, landing etc... but more often than not its nearly impossible go get all the permiss
Blue_Angel : Do you plan to release videos with other cargo operators ?
JustPlanes : I'm sure at some point there will be another cargo DVD... Not sure who or when but we've done so many over the years that I'm confident there will be
777guy : Are you a lawyer by original trade? Just wanted to tell you that I am glad that you did a re-run of the Austrian 330.
JustPlanes : No lawyer... Just making sure I don't make any promises because one never knows what's coming up and people will hold you me to what I say... I agree
Midcon385 : Yes, it sure is. And finally I have all three programs! Would love to see an A340 or A320 program from them in the future, before LH comes in and doe
EMA747 : On Austrian does your obvious excellent relationship extend to Austrian Arrows? I would love to see a DVD with their Dash 8s and Fokkers. Andy S
BW424 : Yeah,it must be a hassle to get all those clearances, but I'm glad to that you got some this time around with this DVD.
JustPlanes : Not sure what will be possible or not.. but the A340 is gone so that one won't happen for sure... but lets hope things remain good with Austrian...
JustPlanes : Austrian Arrows is another company run by other people... not sure...
JustPlanes : Tell me about it... We're filming an airline next week and the airport wants $2500 just for some airport action...
Midcon385 : Duh! Of course it is. And I call myself an A.netter... Tim
JustPlanes : Well you never know that we had filmed it back when they operated it... but its not the case I'm afraid.
BW424 : Whoa!!However,I don't mind paying an extra $5 on a DVD to absorb the costs for that.LOL. I just watched the Austrian 767 DVD.All I can say is another
JustPlanes : You might but I know some people think our DVDs are too expensive as it is so that's not a solution... I will say that back in the 90s we were sellin
JustPlanes : I'm surprised no one has started the guessing game
Alaskamd80 : Hello, jp,,, guess??? idk but i wish we had a new MD-80, MD-90, DC-9, 717 or MD-11 program, well i guess i'll keep hoping and dreaming for one .... Th
JustPlanes : You might not be too too disappointed with the next program....
Midcon385 : Nice! Been looking for more of the MDs or DCs. Is that next program going to be released tomorrow then? Tim
JustPlanes : Correct. Our final program for 2008 will be out tomorrow...
Phlstudent : I'm about halfway through the Austrian 767 video and so far I love it. The First Officer is awesome. Explaining the route, ETOPS, the overhead panel,
JustPlanes : Yes indeed, we seem to get nothing but very happy comments about the latest Austrian program and I can't say enough about how nice its been working w
BW424 : I disagree. There are always people that think certain items should be cheaper than what it is.At the end of the day,you all at justplanes are offerin
BW424 : OH..... I think I know the release. Its Blue1 with the MD90
JustPlanes : I appreciate that, thank you! Yes we have all sorts of expenses to get each program done... and this is not something that is sold like a Disney movi
JustPlanes : You are VERY
BW424 : LOL!I thought so.So I guess we end the year with Blue1's MD90+AvroRJ DVD release. It has been another year of great releases and I hope this will con
Midcon385 : Yeah, both pilots and the cabin staff were fantastic. Great views of Toronto city from the CN Tower as well. Excellent! Will certainly pick that one
PHLstudent : I did not know that Blue1 has AvroRJs... you learn something new every day
JustPlanes : Even the cook
Midcon385 : Yeah, she was cute and friendly! Tim
Hywel : Will definitely be buying the Blue1 program. Flew with them last week and had the exact same aircraft and exact same flight attendants sadly not the s

BW424 : I hope so too!!Your DVDs never dissappoint anyway.
Post contains links JustPlanes : Started adding crew pictures online... Give me some feedback.. worth it or forget it? Here is the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/33264047@N04/
BW424 : " target=_blank>http://www.flickr.com/photos/3326404...@N04/ Definately worth it!!!!
757767lover : Hi just finished watching the Atlantic and I was amazed at seeing it wasn't an Udo presentation (I guess Atlantic didn't offer him enough air miles fo
Blue_Angel : What do you think are the best WAR DVDs when it comes to pilot explanations ? I'm not speaking about instrument descriptions (which I know quite well

757767lover : Well for a excuse it is certainly better than "My dog eat my homework" Which seems to be a favorite saying in the UK. JPV What is the chance of relea
JustPlanes : hahaha.. well you need some distraction so happy to help you there Good luck with the studies!
JustPlanes : The chances of the Royal 727-737 ever coming on DVD... are very good I would say... however not in the near future simply because we have a lot of ne

JustPlanes : I'm afraid not... Right now our decks are used in the editing process and its at the end of a program that we have a bit of time to pick some clips o
Blue_Angel : Well then, maybe you could look for a re-release of the 757 Challenge Air Cargo program with its unique La Paz approach footage, when the pilots have
JustPlanes : I do believe that both the CAC757 and CLX742/744 programs could be re-released on DVD... That does not mean this will happen or happen soon but all 3
