Flight Simulator Deluxe Help

Have just bought this game and the joystick that was recommended by the shop. Have installed and tried the first mission of take off and landing. Joystick does not want to control the throttle like the turorial says and nowhere can i see any instruments telling me speed direction etc!!!

Can anyone help a noob!

Sorry! Microsoft Flight Simulator Delixed Edition X for XP or Vista. Logitech 3 joystick (although it can manouvere the plane it does not do anything else!)

I would assume that you're in the "virtual cockpit" view instead of the standard cockpit view, which is why you probably can't see your insruments. Simply press the "S" key on your keyboard and it'll scroll through the various views.

As far as the joystick goes, you may have to set the throttle control on your settings menu and calibrate the joystick.
