I have read a few posts that Windows Vista works with FS2004. How about add ons like the PMDG 737, Ultimate Traffic by flight one, and Captain Sim 727? I just got a new computer, and before trying to reinstall, I thought I would ask ahead first. I have FSX and it works fine, but I can't afford all the add ons I want right now, so I am thinking about reverting to my FS2004 in the meantime.

Many addons have problems with user access control and some other weird security settings. I have two disks in my computer, installed XP and all pre Vista software on one and Vista and new software only on the other, and am happy with this setup.

I would suggest you getting back in FS9 and XP as well. My HDD is shared in two parts. He use Vista (crap in my opinion) and in other hand I use XP (satisfied with it ).
I have tried playing FS9 on Vista but it occurs so many problems.

This is what I just got, and wondered what you think regarding it working on Vista. I can always go back to XP, but I would prefer to stay with Vista since I am getting used to it. I just bought FS2004 again, because my 4th disk broke. I found this bundled package to go with it!
The following add-on software comes in the bundle:
1. PC Aviator Mega City USA 2005 San Francisco
2. Flight 1 Ultimate Traffic for Microsoft Flight Simulator
3. PC Aviator MegaScenery USA 2004 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Volume 3
4. Abacus Airbus A380 Add-on for MSFS 2004
5. PMDG Boeing 737 NG 600/700 Add-on for MSFS 2004
6. Just Flight Boeing 727 Professional add-on for MSFS 2004

Quoting F9Animal (Reply 6): 6. Just Flight Boeing 727 Professional add-on for MSFS 2004
I run FS9, PSS Just Flight 777 Pro, with Vista on a laptop computer and it does just fine. (Although when I start up a flight sometimes, FS9 crashes and have to restart.) It all depends on the force, memory, and video/graphics capability your machine has in order for everything to fly. No pun intended.
