Public World #506, Private Worlds #271, 546. I am also in PW #166, #204, but kinda gave up after renewing my fleet would became unmanageable. Replacing hundreds of 737s is a daunting task.
Saving up to purchase 767-200ER to start European routes. As airline makes more money will continue to purchase longhual a/c and eventually fly to major Asian, European, South American destinations.
Also looking at purchasing up to 3 B717s to replace some of the leased 717s to decrease the airline's leasing costs.
Hovering is for pilots who love to fly but have no place to go.

Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 8): Is it best to lease or buy?
At first I find its best to lease, just make full use of the leased a/c and make sure its making more money per day then your paying in lease costs.
Also think big don't lease aircraft with only a small amount of seats. I find its best to lease aircraft with around 100 + seats, mainly because the more seats the more money you make. Also 100 seats isn't too many seats when your flying routes that have a lot of other airlines and competition.
Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 8): Best way to get some good money?
The key is to continually grow and open as many routes and lease as many planes that you can afford. Because the more planes and routes you have the more money you make each day.
Once you start to earn a decent amount e.g. $3 million + a day then you should start to buy planes to replace your leased ones or continue to grow your airline.
To choose the best routes to fly, go to the rent gate page and when you choose a continent and it lists all the airports, click on 'passengers' at the top/middle of the list and that will put all the airports in order of population. Then just start a route to the airport with the highest population and work your way down. Just make sure that the aircraft you have has the range to fly it.
Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 8): Should you only have 1 frequency on flights or is multiple frequencies acceptable?
I'm not too sure about this one but I only have 1 frequency per route. Because the more frequency you have the lower the ticket price you can charge.
Also early on in the game you want to fly as many different routes as possible, so taking up 2x frequency on a particular route normally means that its one less other route your aircraft can fly.
You also want to diversify the routes a aircraft flies on in case certain routes have a lot of competition. That way if one route doesn't make much money theres still normally 3 or 4 others that keep the aircraft profitable.
Cheers NZA320

I have a question.. not trying to start any kind of war in this forum..
but does it seem that Airline Mogul is very Airbus friendly? They Airbus in the game seem about 20-30% cheaper than the Boeing.. and I thought they were all about the same price.. Just seems that they game is forcing players to get Airbus and work much harder to get Boeing (and considering everything is in Euros, I can understand).
Just wondering.. I am having to save a lot just to get a Boeing that has the same seats as it's Airbus counterpart, but is about 20,000,000 Euros more expensive!

Started with 5x EMB-170.
I've decided to eventually replace them, as well as the 3 leased ERJ-145XR's I've got, with Dornier 728's. Then, I'm planning on adding Dornier 928's to replace the single 717 I've got, as well as expansion of the flights I've got.
Seems to me that the Dornier's are nearly the most efficient planes in the game.

Overdraft is slowly going, and my value has shot up a bit which is always good.
Hope to be able to lease some 732's to do a bit more of Europe, build up a good cash reserve and then go into Long Haul flights after setting up a good Euro network. (Will also stop charging for food a drink once in in the black again)

Quoting ERJ170 (Reply 12): does it seem that Airline Mogul is very Airbus friendly?
Yes, I was thinking the same thing today. I'm in a new Private World, W734 and I'm growing, but the A319 or A320 are so much more cost friendly than the 73G or 738. So I stick with my current fleet of 26-A319, 6-A320, 19 Dash 8-400, and 9-ERJ 170. I'm looking for a long haul a/c, but the 757-200 is no longer available and the only option is A330-200. I would prefer the 762, but it's more than the A332, plus it will not be available in the next calendar year, so I don't want to have to add another fleet type when the 762 is no longer available.
Come join Private World 734. There is no password to join, currently 40 airlines, with a max of 100 and you start with 5x ERJ 170

I'm really enjoying Private World 734. It's a full world map. This was my first Private World after playing in a couple of Public Worlds. I'm enjoying it as I don't have to worry about having 7 or 8 airlines hubbed at my base of PHL like it was in W645. That just wasn't realistic at all and actually annoying. I felt like I was Northwest Airlines protecting my hub from all of the intrusion with A-321s on routes that typically support a Dash 8 at best.
I will agree with FX777 that the smaller Private Worlds don't have enough competition either to be realistic as well. PW734 has a smaller group, with hub to 10-12 hubs. With that many, I'm already hubbed in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, along with my US hubs. So there's not a whole lot of reason to join an alliance and have to worry about somebody fighting for the same pax numbers from my hubs.

Long-term plans include:
Make use of AMS hub. May start JFK-KEF-AMS route.
Save up some money to buy long-haul a/c A330s, 757s, 767s. No bigger than that for now.

Here's my stats in Private World 734
Airline - Freedom Air
DOC - € 39,682,297
Value - € 6,413,041,676
Daily Pax - 111,194
Ranking - 8th in value, 4th in daily pax
Hubs - DTW, PHL, MCO, STL, ORY, IST, CAN
Future growth plans include a Western US hub and growth in Central or South America
Current Fleet -
A319 - 37 with 12 on order
A320-100 - 21 with 3 on order
A330-200 - 5 with 1 on order
Dash-8-300 - 15
Dash-8-400 - 26
ERJ-170LR - 16 with 10 on order
Fleet plans will continue to focus on Airbus narrowbody a/c, with intercontinental growth using the A330-200. The Dash 8-400 has been a great aircraft with short haul flights. I would love an a/c like the 757-200 with its range and pax number. I seriously considered the TU 204-300 as it has great range, but the pax numbers were less than the A-320.

Here is mine, just gone through some big expansion, and brought my first plane other then the one I started with, another Let 410, named City of Manchester. Leases are all valid until after the world has ended so will probably end up leasing a few more Caravelles to extend my services on the longer euro flights.

Its all go at Dan Air.
I have 3.5% of the market at LGW which I think is good.I have 52 flights, 8 gates with a 86% utilization (Just added another gate for more expansion)
The 737-200 is doing well with the airline, having just allowed me to open up routes to TIP BEY AMM and TLV. The LET410-A is the mainstay of my short-haul fleet, with the Sud Caravelle being my short-medium plane of choice.
No more expansion for the time being, I need to get my funds up to buy some longer range aircraft.
Also, 1 A319 leased in. I also have a Boeing 767-200 on order. Will be used for JFK-LHR or similar. Maybe JFK-LHR-BCN or JFK-LHR-AMS.
---
Since the last post, 1 A319 has been added. Also, the 757-300, which is used for high-density flights out of JFK. The Shorts and VardaxServ-Aero have not sold.
Short term:
Bring in Saab for short-haul out of MSP or JFK: haven't decided yet.
Bring in Boeing 757-300 for transcontinental flights out of JFK or perhaps LAX...
Bring in Boeing 767-200 for TATL flight out of JFK.
Long term:
Increase number of A319, 757 and 767 a/c. Perhaps order some more Saabs as well.
Might add A320 or A321 a/c for high density North America flights: out of JFK hub.
After addition a/c come on line, European expansion is very likely, mostly certainly out of LHR.
----
SkyTeam alliance is doing well. We now have 5 airlines including m.air and one pending member. Our hubs now stand at: AMS, BCN, ATL, LAX, MSP
