Well- I think my current computer has finally bit the dust. It is a second-hand box that I was able to refurbish and use for 3+ years, even though it still had its initial Win98 install on it when I got it. I'm fortunate to have enough disposable income right now to afford a pretty good system, but just don't have the time to build a new box. I've seen ads for Jetline Systems on flightsim.com, and they seem to offer a decent setup, but I was wondering if anyone has experience dealing with them or their systems. Thanks.

I haven't actually used their computers, but just from looking at their website, I can't help thinking, damn, they're overpriced (as with any other custom builder company out there). I just built a system comparable to their top of the line model for exactly $1600 (bought everything of off newegg), and using the exact same case and screen they show in their advertisements!
My specs:
Intel Core i7 2.66 GHz overclocked to 3.67Ghz (it's rock solid, I've take it up to 4.2Ghz no problems too)
Asus P6T motherboard
Corsair 750W PSU (anybody that says you need at least 1000w for two video cards is full of it)
2x Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4870s 1gb DDR5 in Xfire
6GB OCZ DDR3 Triple Channel 1600mhz (anything more than 6gb and you're just burning money)
Antec 900 case
HP 22x DVD-R/RW 48x Cd-R/RW combo drive
2x Western Digital Caviar black 640GB in RAID 0 for a total of ~1.3 TB(more than enough space)
Acer 22" Flat screen LCD
Logitech G9 gaming mouse
And FSX is the only game I can't max out in my computer, though i can get close (I can max out Crysis, COD5, Far Cry 2, HAWX and all the other newer games no problem whatsoever, and I never see less than 20FPS ). FS9 though runs spectacular and the way I have mine set up it looks better than FSX by far. I guarantee you won't be able to max out FSX even in their top fo the line rig.
Bottom line is, you're still better of building your own rig.

Happiness is just an illusion caused by the temporary absence of reality

Yeah- I know I could build a similar system for a bit cheaper, and I agree- it would be the best option, but I probably won't have the time to do that until most likely September, and I'm not sure I'm willing to wait that long for my next FS fix, ya know?
