Dear a.netters,
Next week on my way to Switzerland I'll pass the Auto and Technic Musuem in Sinsheim. Now I'd like to stay there overnight and have a look at the Concorde and the TU-144.
Now my question is: Can I have a look inside both a/c?
Any other interesting things on display there?
Many thanks in advance.
Sander

Back in June 2006 it was possible to go inside the Concorde and the Tu-144, it was very hot inside since they didn't have any a/c. Especially the Tu-144 is a great experience from inside.
Have a good trip and enjoy it!

Yes, you can. I recommend also to visit the technik museum in Speyer. The are affiliated.
Speyer and Sinsheim are only 30 minutes or 40km apart. There is quite some intresting stuff in the museum like locomotives and a military section in Sinsheim, a submarine in Speyer.

Thanks everyone!
That means I'll be there Sunday or Monday. Seeing my wife is not an aviation freak like me, we are going only to Sinsheim and spend the rest of the time of our only 16 days holiday in Switzerland.
Can anyone recommend a campground close to Sinsheim and I don't mean that naturist camp ground .
I'm looking at a few somewhere near Heidelberg along the river. Anything closer?

I am not too fond of the display they have done at Sinsheim but it was the museum's choice to have the two aircrafts set up this way.
You should be able to get inside Concorde no problem. As a previous poster said there is no air conditioning or cooler system inside so maybe it will be really hot depending on the outside temperature.
Enjoy your visit!
There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde
