I have a new computer, good graphics etc, but when I fly into the New York area, or attempt to approach Kennedy, LGA or Newark ,everything comes to a crawl. I did a bit of research which indicated that the moving gates will have a direct effect on Frame rates.

Does anyone know how to turn off the moving gates for the entire sim? Any other recommendations when flying into New York?
Thanks.

If you have a good AI traffic package like MyTraffic 5.2 or MyTraffic 2010 or UT2, the effect it has on frames is far smaller than the animated jetways. The esiest way is to reduce scenery density, at normal none of them should be visible any longer. MyTraffic shifts the jetways of the 50 largest aiports one step up in density, so you can fly dense without any.

Alternatively, you can switch the "advanced animations" off.
