MS Combat Flight Simulator Question

I just installed MS CFS 3. It will not run without the CD being in the CD drive. Is this normal operation (Copyright Protection) from MS, or did I do something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

It's been a while since I ran CFS 3 but it wouldn't surprise me. Earlier versions of MSFS needed the CD to be in the drive, too. Yes, it was part of the defence against piracy. I have a few games that need the CD to be present - Patrician and Civilization, to name a couple.

Yes, this is normal. Just like FS2004, there is a no-CD "crack" that you can download. This will make it so you can play without the CD...


Pilots without aircraft mechanics are just pedestrians with sunglasses and a leather jacket.
