I found a great deal on the boxed version of the PMDG 747-400X at Best Buy. It was in-stock both online and at the store for only $29.99 vs. the $55 download or (normally) $70 boxed version.

I had always wanted this aircraft, but didn't want it at such a high price tag. Sometimes things are just too good to pass up!

Same price for Aerosoft's Seahawk and Jayhawk package. I bought that along with the 744X at Best Buy. Now, if I could only figure out the FMC in the 744...

it's easy - there is a good quick-start tutorial available for it:

It's a very logical FMS system to use. If you get into problems, I'd try asking in the technical operations forum, there should be some real world B744 pilots there who could spot anything you are doing wrong.

I dont even have FSX but I bought it anyway as I plan on having a new computer soon and switching from FS9 to FSX cant wait to fly this thing. What a great price! I was thinking of not making the FS9-FSX switch because I dont have a Ultra Long Haul Aircraft that would work in FSX but now that I have something to fly LAX-SYD or MIA-DXB I am happy I am ready to make the switch soon. Thanks for the info! I was never going to spend $70 on a boxed version from PMDG. Hopefully they might get some other products on there.

Too bad it was only the FSX version that's on sale...

would have bought the FS9 immediately..

Think I'll wait on the NGX release. Anyone have a rumored date for that to be released??

I have not heard anything but I am waiting to buy that one too. But at this price for the 747-400X both 744 and 744F this was a must buy it cost $70 on PMDG website! I can wait for NGX that is going to be great too. I am saving up some money for my FSX switch as I also am getting UT2 and Level D 767.

I just happened to be planning a Best Buy order as this thread came up, and I took advantage. What a huge upgrade in all realism areas. I really like it. But there's one bad thing. It's compelled me to finally upgrade my computer so I can run FSX properly!
