FSX 747-400 Help?

hi guys,

I was wondering if you could help me out with the 747 on fsx??
while parked how do i get the aircraft to completely stop running as i've turned the engines off but it still runs while the engines are off? i can't get it to go quiet and was looking for help??

Well, this might be cheating, but if you hit the 'Q' key to mute it for a second, it should be quiet when you un-mute it.

I have the same problems but in all my aircraft. The engines are off but there is this background jet engine noise. I sounds like a APU but the APU is off. I even turned all my sounds OFF but the sound still stays there. The engine sound turns off when I press Q but comes right back on when I engage the sound again.

Any ideas? It overrides the sounds of the engines in the cockpit too so I hear two engine sounds, its very annoying.

Also if I am running engines full power and then go to idle sometimes the engines still have the sound of being at full power. Any ideas? Is this a FSX bug? Or is something wrong with my computer.

I have been trying a lot of stuff if I can get the problem fixed I will let you know of a possible solution to your 744 problems.
