Ah,

My first and obvious suggestions would be AMS or CDG.

Just register as a spotter before the CDG trip.
I'm sure someone can provide the link quicker than me.

Enjoy your trip!

If you look at SpottersWiki.com it says it is open during winter as well between 09 - 17.

I hear ZRH is meant to be the best, with a great observation deck.

If your planning on flying to AMS just stay airside! The possibilities for photo's are endless then! I always stay airside when I visit AMS as your closer to the action especially up on the end of "D" pier! Also those layed back leather chairs are great for relaxing on between photo's!

True. I've been there once and it was great indeed.

MAN is pretty good but it's not very varied after the morning rush.

AMS and MAD are both decent, but the AMS viewing area is pretty exposed, and gets very cold if the wind picks up.

If you happen to come to FRA, its worth a day too. I would say second interesting airport in Europe after Heathrow. The Terrace is closed in Winter, but from the large windows behind it you can see every landing aircraft if wind is from West.

CPH is one of my favourite airports. The spotting is good and nobody came to hassle me. HAM is quite good too.

I've been to both ZRH and AMS, both in Winter and I would say Zurich is probably the best although seeing those MD11's upclose at AMS is quite special.

ZRH gave really good views but if the aircraft are landing on rwy 14 you don't get to see much.
When I was there Take-offs were on rwys 28 and 16. We took the airport tour which takes you to a spotting area right next to rwy 16 and this allows very good photo opportunities of aircraft taking off. We managed to see an SQ 772 when we there.

There's flying and then there's flying

I would avoid Greece if recent history is anything to go by!
