Hello, and Merry Christmas to all.

After years of hanging around, I finally decided to join up to this site.

For my first post, I thought I'd share some pics of my 1/400 scale aircraft collection.

First up, custom Jet Airways A380-800 VT-JMB:

Thanks!

The A340s are one of my favourites as well, especially the 'long-bodied' A340-600

Yep that Jet A380 artwork was indeed one of my commissions that Nick did for me

He also did this one for me as well, which is now available on his site:

Nice collection there mate!!! I am digging the AF and SQ A380s! are they 1:400? I am after a decent looking SQ A380 and the AF one as well, I saw a few on a shop in ORY in June after my AF 380 flight, but they cost like 50-70 Euros! as for the SQ I found one model made by Phonix, but the shop is in HKG, asked a friend of mine who was going round that area but I don't think she managed.

I recently purchased the EK380 tho, beautiful!

Yep both the AF/SQ A380s, and all the other models in my collection are in 1/400 scale. I only collect in 1/400, as 1/200 would require tons of space!

You can get both the SQ & AF 380s from over on this great website:

I purchase most of my models from here, with great service every time!

Nice models there. Thanks for sharing!

Is that a Gemini Jets Emirates A380 that you have there? Which reg is the one that you have?

I've got the Gemini one as well, but mine's is A6-EDA. I find the nose of the Gemini A380s to be slightly too pointy.

That KLM 777 looks great though! Who's the manufacturer of that one?

A6-EDA like yours, just bought it recently in a shop I found here in BCN

Now that I look at it... you are right... but it is still one of the better A380 renditions out there.

I saw a LH A380 1:400 in MUC when I went there... 40 euros... I am still kicking myself for not buying it... I think it was made by Herpa but it looked absolutely fantastic.

The link to the model shop you gave me is amazing! for sure I'll be buying some goodies from them! Cheers for that!!

Yep I quite like the GJ A380s myself, but the most accurate A380 mould in 1/400 scale is the one done by Phoenix:

You don't have to worry about that anymore

Phoenix have released 2 Lufthansa A380s now in January: D-AIMB "Munich" & D-AIMC " Peking":

They're going to get sold out pretty quickly, so you better get you're order in quickly if you want to grab hold off one

I've just ordered my copy of D-AIMB

The link to the model shop you gave me is amazing! for sure I'll be buying some goodies from them! Cheers for that!!

No worries

But just to warn you... this shop is incredibly addictive, and one purchase will very quickly lead to another

Love it! His work is absolutely beautiful. I'll let you in on little secret.
I commissioned Nick to do an L-1011. I believe this is his first Tri-Star and the livery will remain secret until he's finished. I insisted that he take his time and work on it only when his passion for airliners and art is flowing. I am pretty excited about this because it will be probably the most beautiful portrait of the most magnificent airliner ever seen.
