Hi Guys,

Im looking at getting Eirsims DUB scenery, I have a few questions it first tho,

most notably is it any good?
Does it effect framerates much?
and just all round what do you think of it?

Any replys would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, pretty much, make sure you get the updates available. (add gates to T2 albeit not AES supported at the mo, the other gates are AES supported)

Not at all, it runs pretty well on my computer, no drop in FPS.

I think is really good, there is no other DUB scenery available for FS9 so it's better than nothing, if you are running FSX then maybe this one will be more interesting.

But overall, I like it and at 17 euros it was a bargain.

I think, therefore I don´t fly Ryanair.

I also have Eirsims DUB and like MIA I think it is pretty good, but I have one problem with it. It always directs me to Rwy16 for all take-off and landings, I don't know why.

Nope. If your're talking about air traffic then no...I've never noticed any other traffic but maybe I'm not looking.

Must just be prevailing winds, or the default runway during calm winds. I've both departed from and arrived on 16, 28 & 34. In fact, also I arrived on 10 the very first time after I installed the scenery.
Not sure what's going on your end. But I will say the majority of the time, it's 16 for arrivals & departures for me.

It also depends on how you have set up the AFCAD file... I have personally put it as 10-28 for landings and takeoffs, and closed off 34-16, not sure if that's how the real life DUB operates but...

Oh! and I was looking at their forums last night and he is thinking on rebuilding the scenery from scratch at some point, to bring it up to the level of their Shannon and Alicante sceneries.

Going by the replys is certiantly worth it.

On the subject of the runways I currently have the freeware from flightsim.com for DUB and by default the aircraft will always take off and land on 34 when theres no wind

I must say considering its freware is brilliant, thats part of why im debating getting the Eiresim one as I already have a very good version of DUB

(1) I think so. I live near DUB and have been in and out many many times, and it is very good!
(2) Not really, and I don't have a powerful CPU.
(3) Great

DUB uses 28 about 80% of the time, 10 about 18% of the time, and 16/34 the other 2% of the time. It's VERY rare. It's only used:

- When 28/10 is getting overnight work done, and there is a few flights coming in.
- Extremely heavy crosswinds
- When there's heavy traffic (Like Summer '10) and they use it during the morning rush hour.
