Surprised nobody has posted this yet. Brand new season starts on NatGeo in UK on March 7th. First episode features BA038 ( and airs about 12hrs before I'm due to land at LHR on BA !). Second episode looks at Sully's landing on the Hudson, and the third at the Buffalo Dash 8 tragedy. Time to get the PVRs set guys.

Quoting CXB77L (Reply 2): just wish they'd stop using a generic A300/A310 interior
That and the voiceover are things that need sorting IMHO.
The issue I've got with the VO is the British voice using Americanisms, it just sounds wrong.
For instance
We say "aeroplane" the VO says "airplane"
We say "Steward/ess" the VO says "flight attendant"
We say "seven three seven" the VO says seven thirty seven"
If the commentator were American I'd accept it but he's not, he's British so I expect to hear someone with an English accent speaking "English".
The other annoying part of the commentay is everything being in metric. When talking in aviation terms we use feet and knots not metres and K.P.H. If you don't have a fast calculator at hand or a brain that can convert metric to English quickly it spoils the programme.
As we don't get much aviation telly over here (mainly soaps, reality celebutard trash, and 138847646473782 programmes about vampires) I'm glad to see it back though and am looking forward to it.

Well what did everyone think? I thought it was cool, maybe a tad repetitive. Also the scenes in Boeing's lab reminded me a little of the Freddy Krueger tv series, all dark & glowing colours, & dry ice. Musta been the same producer. Apart from that was ok, & looking forward to the next one

Despite the things I put in my post up there ^^ I enjoyed it as usual. I agree about the Boeing lab footage, it also had shades of something The A Team might build to escape from a barn so they can sort out some evil property developers
Did anyone happen to see Airplane Repo on Discovery +1 afterwards? That was good, hope later in the series he has to repo something bigger. would enjoy seeing him and his team snatch back a 744.
I just wish Ice Pilots would find it's way onto UK TV.

Is it just me or has the "set" for the cockpit got even worse.... I don't expect it to be exact but atleast put some sort of effort into making look like something we might find at the front of a plane

I enjoyed it alhtough the next episode is about Sully and his now famous Hudson river landing. It would have been interesting had National Geographic not aired a programme about the incident around the time of the year anniversary.
