I'm a developer who is trying to learn how to program for phones, and since I have a background with Microsoft, I opted to start out developing on their platform. I wanted to make something aviation related, so I made an app to give you information when plane spotting. Ultimately I'd like to make it available on iPhone and Android, but for now, I'd love to hear some ideas on what you think would be nice to be able to do on a phone wile plane spotting.
Here is what I have right now. It is called "Tail Tracker" and I have a second version of it available in the WP7 marketplace:
--Ability to query FAA registration data
--View pictures of the airplane by tail number- it will actually query the airliners.net photo search engine and display the results on the phone.
--Ability to share that you've seen the airplane somewhere. For instance, if you are spotting at SEA on 12 Mar 2011, when you click share, it will send that to the database and it will be available for others to see that it was spotted there.
What features should I add? I'd love any feedback I can get on this!
