World's largest model railroad, Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, has added world's largerst miniature airport to their exhibition. Knuffingen Airport is in H0 (1:87) scale, and based on HAM.

Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg

I have been there twice, simply amazing place and so many details and so many things to see and explore! For sure worth a visit.

The current issue of Airways has a good look behind the scenes where you learn some of what went to building this model airport.

I've been there about 4 times and still feel like I want to go again, there is simply so much detail on the whole layout that you can literally spend days without getting bored.

I have a bigger airport in my garage...one that's fictional and not to scale. So, I suppose it wouldn't count but I think what they did was really creative!

I used to be into model trains when I was a little kid. I would have never thought of a model airport. Awesome.

All the airport and its size and everything is cool, but what's awesome is the name of the city: Knuffingen!!
"knuffig" can be translated as "cute", "-ingen" is a typical ending for towns in Germany

It is the most amazing miniature airport I have seen and it is actually 'operating'!

Although you always need to watch out to use "biggest". In my city there is a 1:25 version of AMS in Madurodam: see pictures
