Hi there. My Grandfather was a Chief Fire Officer at the Hatfield Aerodrome, in England, from the 50's to 1984 when he retired. He has since passed away and I inherited some of his old aviation souvenirs.
In the 1960's an Aerodrome executive gave him a desk model of a Hawker Siddeley HS 121 Trident in British European Airways livery colours which, although has taken some knocks during its life, I think would be of some interest to a collector/aviation modeller for a restoration project. My mother wanted to take it to the charity shop but I'm sure there is someone out there who would appreciate its provenance and enjoy working on it.
The e-bay listing is follows (sorry for the sloppy grammar - i was very tired at the time!):
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trident-aeropl...s_ModelKits_JN&hash=item2c5d526660
Many thanks if you could help me send this to a good home. I think my grandfather would be pleased to know if it was restored, sitting proudly in a collection somewhere. If anyone is interested, please do either e-mail me via this forum or ebay.
Thanks
Matthew
