In my search on eBay for antique toy airplanes, I have come across some beauties (being offered for a pretty penny, to boot)...

but this one takes the prize for being the most expensive antique toy airplane I have ever seen:

Is this indeed the most expensive toy airplane you have ever seen? Or can you top this one?

What could justify this seller's asking price? Is it THAT rare? Still, it seems steep.

This has been on eBay for a long time; there have been 8 offers so far (it still has not sold).

I think there's a mindset that if you give something a charming write up, make it sound unique/interesting/rare etc then it'll be worth a lot more than it is. I saw someone asking $1m for a tether car on there one time...suffice to say he had a LOT of comments on there saying that he was out of his mind.

That is a really expensive toy. I doubt you could resell it for $11,000.
