FSX runs much better on its own drive and folder. So, if possible, make a folder in the another drive (D, E, F, whatever - I'm going to assume you have more than just the C) called "Flight Simulator X" and do a custom install into that folder. The C: drive should be left alone to run Windows only...hope this helps a little.
