There is still a shop in IAD that sells Skymark airplane models. I bought a few there less than 2 years ago. Don't remember the terminal number or the name of the store, but I can tell you it's in the terminal that's NOT run by United.
The Smithsonian Store in Terminal B sells Skymarks at typically inflated prices, but they don't always have the greatest selection (unless you want your own fleet of WN 737s).

Yes, that shop at IAD closed some time ago. I just posted a thread on "Travel, Polls and Preferences" asking the same question you did--and asking what other airports might have similar shops. Maybe we'll get some leads!
