Are they going to release one? With any airline? Seems that are locked on the 787-800 but no -900. If not anyone know of a website that has an actual cutaway or diagram of the 787-900? I see Phoenix has a model in like Virgin's livery but at first glance it looks like a child's toy, the 787-900 can't possibly look like that.

The 787-900 is not yet fully designed by Boeing, and even the real properties of the B787-800 still are largely unknown - so better fly a spaceship from planet Mars than such a phantasy junkware.

Nobody knows what the 787-9 is going to look like. Why not wait until it has actually be rolled out by Boeing before making a model of one?

The firm configuration of the 787-9 occurred over a year ago:

External dimensions are pretty readily available to the public. I purchased the 1:400 Phoenix Qantas 787-9, and as an engineer who worked on the 787 for almost 6 years, I'm very happy with how it turned out. Phoenix has always had some of the best-quality models in my opinion - don't let one crummy internet picture sway you.

Unless you're worried about nuances of an airline's livery on the plane, in which case, yes, you'd have to wait until it's actually built and painted.
