I know where to find the current NAT's and all that but what data do I put into the Flight Planner program?
- Thanks in Advance!
p.s. I'm using the following add on's when "crossing the pond"
- PMDG 747-400X
- FlightSim Commander 9
- Simplates X
- Fuel Planner
- kACARS (To log my hours)
- (when ATC available) Ivap

Quoting steffenbn (Reply 2): No, I don't mean the FMC, I have a Flight Planner Program (http://www.fscommander.com/screenshots.htm).
Never heard of that program, but looks nice.
Quoting steffenbn (Reply 2): I just have to enter 5350N, 5540N, 5630N and 5620N in the FMC
I don't know about the planner program, but in the real wolrd 747 FMC you enter the TATL waypoints only 5350N etc as you mentioned and then always the full degrees are meant:
5350N is the same as: N53°00'00.00" W050°00'00.00"

IIRC, if you use 53N50 you will get N53 W150, which can be handful for transpac.

I could use that too. There was a big "crossing the pond" event on IVAO today, too bad I couldnt join in for work reasons. Not that I know much about NAT flying anyway. Basically all my knowledge stems from one Leisure 767 video (I think JustPlanes).

FWIW, when I'm flying trans-oceanic flight plans that have lat/long coordinate waypoints, I enter them in the form NXXWXXX and it works perfectly. Obviously, this can be changed to S and E, respectively.
The MD11 FMC is totally different to the Boeing one. The MD11 is closer to the Airbus one actually. Of course not that advanced, but the basic function.
I cannot remember how we entered the coordinates into the MD11 FMC, already too long ago since I flew this bird
