As the last thread was nearing 200 posts, and we've entered a brand new year...I thought a brand new screenshot thread would be appropriate. Plus my net has gone to the dogs lately, and it was giving me long-ish load times.

My first contribution in a while, finally got my new PC up and running, but am still tweaking FS9 and installing my custom AI. Took a break from that to take a flight from ORD-PGD with a Legacy 600. However after take off I ran into mechanical problems over LAF to where I could not climb above FL240, so I diverted to HUF for some software upgrades to my legacy 600 (new FDE installed).
KLM Asia B747-400
British Airways B777
Holding for American Connection
Holding for an American Airlines B767-300, love the winglets on this bird!
On my takeoff roll I meet the United Airlines B747-400 who is taxing to the gate
Climbing out, Chicago in the background
Heading into the clouds
My diversion airport in the background, HUF, getting into the pattern for a visual on Rwy 32
Hope I can find a good Embraer mechanic here, not much traffic though
I am the biggest bird into this airport in my sim, other biggest bird that HUF sees is a D328-100 from Berry Aviation
The mechanic found a new FDE (the original FDE with the aircraft and not the one in the Posky ERJ FDE Upgrade) and updated the aircraft with it, and I took it out on a test flight between HUF-OWB-HUF and ran into no problems. Climbed up to FL280 with no problem. Looks like tomorrow I can resume my flight to PGD.

I'd be a lot more help to you on that 744...
So I've been watching this show on the weather channel called "Coast Guard Alaska", and that's inspired me to hop into a HC-130 and fly from PANC to PADQ: (haven't posted in a while, so if this is lengthy I apologize)
Engines started, ready to taxi
Taxiing out to the runway
And we're off
Up and up we go, where she stops, nobody knows...(actually I do, it's FL190)
Ok, making our descent into Kodiak
Runway 25 in sight
Touching down
I'm thinking we're going to go to the hangar on the left???
Ok, we're here
Pilots without aircraft mechanics are just pedestrians with sunglasses and a leather jacket.

That's a great pic. I love the airports that we don't really get to see much of.
I downloaded the HJG 717 & was really excited about it. I was doing a KF flt from KUO - HEL. I got FISD FS Nordic scenery but I don't think my ENIAC could handle it. Also the 717 panel wasn't the Mae West (it did say that it wasn't known if it was supported in anything other than XP so that could maybe explain the 5+ ctd's I had). Only a short hop but it was crap. Waaah. Nonetheless I think I got some nice shots.
Wana dedicate these to EDICHC!
Aurora Borealis cheered me up a little.
Descending for HEL
Nice tail cone design
Thanks

I almost had a good shot of that UA B744 landing, but as it was landing, an A321 from US that landed short and taxied into the runway and then turned into my taxiway, ruined the shot. I linked it to a bad AFCAD file and with it being in the first 15 minutes of opening up the flight. I have replaced the AFCAD file and will soon be replacing the default ORD with the FS Dreamteam ORD.
Quoting aerdingus (Reply 4): Me too! I love that you kept it realistic & diverted lol!
There was no way I was going to cruise at FL240, so I had to divert. Plus the FDE i was using, when I turned, my plane lost about 2000ft during the turn. I didn't want to have to put up with that for two and a half hours!
The mechanics at HUF repaired the flight system in my Legacy 600 and I was able to continue my flight to PGD. Later in the day, I chartered a Cessna 402C and flew PGD-SFB, giving me a chance to check out a recently installed new freeware scenery for SFB.
Been into PGD a few times now and have not caught their commercial traffic, Allegiant Airlines and Direct Air.
Up in the air for my short flight to central Florida.
Cruising along at FL070
Flying past "the other Orlando airport", MCO.
A few seconds from touchdown at SFB.
The SFB scenery has a static AI boneyard in the distance.
Off of the active runway, heading to general aviation parking, and passing another static AI boneyard.
Soon to be heading back to the United Kingdom, taking people away from the Mouse Kingdom.
Behind the G4 gates is yet another static AI boneyard.
Parked next to a generic Challenger.
The SFB scenery was nice, a lot of static AI boneyards and I think some static general aviation as well. But they did not impact the framerates any and they appeared to be out of the way.

Back to ANC we go. I found a CV repaint for PMDG's MD-11F, so we'll do some long-haul from ANC to HKG .
On taxi out
Ready for take-off
Houses and buildings getting smaller
Climbing out (the textures in the inlet for #2 engine look kinda weird, right?)
Up at our cruise altitude of FL360 (is it getting brighter?)
Starting our descent
That's the new HKG, we're not going there...
Ahhh...the old checker board Kai Tak approach (you can see the checker at approx 10 o'clock). Much better!

A winner shot right there.
Aerdingus and myself tried to locate the checkerboard when we were in HKG in Nov, alas we could not find it mostly because it was already dark, secondly because I totally missed the park where it is, and thirdly because since the closure of Kai Tak they had no need to repaint it. But you can still see some of it.
We did managed to walk all the way to the site and cry at the sad sight of a massive construction site at least we paid our homage to this Airplane Nut Mecca.
