Yesterday, I spoke with a friend who is also a Flight Simulator freak and he mentioned something that I don't know if it's possible.
He said he once saw a guy with two monitors, each one with a different screen but with the same simulator. The idea is to enable you to have an outside view on one monitor and a cockpit view on the other.
Is there something in FSX that enables you to do this? is there an add-on you need? Could it be perhaps a Windows environment inside a Linux machine (I know that Linux enables you to have two monitors and run the same program)?

No there is nothing special needed. You basically go to "views" in the menu bar, click "new view", and drag it over to the other screen and expand it. I would often have the 2D cockpit on the primary screen and the VC looking out the left window on the second screen. Makes turning onto final very nice.
