Got my PPL a few months ago and I'm looking for high-quality payware general aviation aircraft to fly/get a feel of before I spend a bunch of money on a checkout in real life. I'm specifically looking for a nice Cessna 182/206 or a Cirrus SR20/22 but I'm open to all recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I once tried (and failed!) to get a pilot's license in a Diamond Katana which is a nice 2 seat trainer/touring plane. It has low wings, is made of composites and has excellent visibility from the canopy. It also has electric pitch trim and a proper throttle with a handle! I now have the aerosoft version which looks and operates almost exactly like the real thing. In fact I think I enjoy flying in FsX more than real life and it is a lot cheaper too! There is also a pretty good freeware Katana for Fs9.
