PMDG has released some nice news today.
Summary, from avsim.com, FS Conference Munich, avsim forum statements.
-The long avaited 777 will be going to beta within a month of two. Should the beta phase take approximately as long as NGX beta phase took, we can realistically look at release this summer. Some alpha pictures can be seen at avsim.com
-A remake, or rather a completely new version of, the popular 747, known as 747-400 v2.0 should follow as soon as 1-2 months after!
-Accompanying the 747-400 version 2.0 should be a full rendition of 747-8, including proper differencies in panel, systems, flight dynamics etc. I guess they wont beat LH into EIS, but you will have your steed soon enough, Wilco737

Wow AWESOME! Excited for all of these products. With PMDG, Quality Wings planes under development there sure is a lot going on. Only downfall is there will be no 2D main panels in the 777 from what I heard. I will say I use mostly the VC now days but the 2D is nice for IMC and preflight etc.. But hey is there is FS2crew the F/O does most of the work too.
Can't wait to purchase FS2CREW for the NGX when I have time. Never have done voice control before.

Quoting initious (Reply 9): Can we look forward to all 777 variants or they are just coming out with the 777-200LR?
I hear the -300ER will follow shortly after, and the -200ER & -300 will be at a later date. They would take longer due to the different engine options etc.

200LR is to go out first, then 300ER and 777F. Then other variants according to public demand. I would not hesitate to place a bet that 200ER will be out within maybe a half year after initial three variants.

Just watched a presentation by PMDG CEO Rob Randazzo, it is a four part presentation which can be viewed on Youtube, under heading : PMDG presentation from the Aerosoft Convention in Munich - part 1 of 4. There is a Q & A at the end.

They've released the manuals as of last week. List price of a cool $470 for the Chief Pilot's Set.
To my eyes that says it should be released fairly soon probably within the next month.
