It took a while but check it out! I commissioned Nick to do UAL L-1011 N510PA. This ship was flown by my friend Retired UA Capt. Don Kyte (see profile). L-1011-500's were never in better shape than during the short 18 months flying in UAL livery.
God bless the L-1011 and the crews who flew and maintained them.
Now that Nick has the template, you all can commission him to do your own L-1011!

Whoa, you're back!
That's a fantastic print...the Saul Bass livery looks awesome on the L-1011. I'd put it at second only to the Widget, of course

Yeah Kevin and others, I'm still around. Needed to take a time out, for most of the same reasons as you did.
Ah well, that's life, stuff happens - take it as it goes. I saw your message and I had to reply - it's wonderful that you are back around here.
I'm back into flight-sim again. The long story was that Bootcamp on my Mac Pro wouldn't boot into Windows. It'd go to a grey screen when I held down option at startup (to choose the OS). Well - I had given up, was nearly ready to clone the HDD and do a fresh bootcamp installation, when of course, I failed to connect the SSD properly. That was the thing I'd mapped to a folder in Windows to house FSX.
All the sudden, woah woah woah - it works!!! Took months to work out that. Nobody else could pin point it either, even the normally switched on Macrumors people.
Well it works now, and it's very nice again. You may get me back into Concorde again.

Quoting granite (Reply 6): Also, not cranked up FSX in about 9 months! Might have to do so soon.
Ooooh, can't wait! I still have 2 of your screenshots as desktops on two of my client computers. You always post top notch stuff.
Quoting cpd (Reply 7): You may get me back into Concorde again.
Oh...YEAH!
I'll never forget your Concorde screenshots! Full throttle, on it's tail launches.

What thread? Help a brother out... Gimme a link man!

Yessir, gotta love those rope-starts. I was truly saddened the day the last of those were retired. Those, along with my beloved 727's...
Man, we're getting old. If we were aircraft, we'd be scrapped. So many of the youngsters here will never know the ear piercing, solid rocket booster cackle sound of a 100 -200 series
.
......and the rich smell of non-by pass jet exhaust.

Especially on a super-cold Chicago winter morning...ahhhh, those were the days!
