Hi my name is Chris Morgan and I am looking to sell my HUGE 1-400 scale aircraft collection. Im having a really bad time of it financially, and I find myself forced to part with my pride and joy collection. Ive only been collecting for a while, but I have got loads of planes, Herpa 1-400, Gemini, and Dragon. The reason I am posting this, is that I want my planes to go to a good home that will look after them and love them like I do, not to some dealer on E-bay who is just going to sell them on for a profit. I would prefer to sell them all as a whole, so e-mail me with any offers you may or may not have, or if you know of any good ways of selling them, ie: not e-bay. I live in the UK, so if you live in the UK, then so much the better, but if not, then we will have to talk about shipping as this could get expensive! How much should i sell it for? let me know guys...I also have the option on both ANA Pokemon 747-400 dragon wings so if you are interested let me know. I have a mate who i have just about convinced to part with his qantas 747-400 wunala dreaming (the fool!) but he wants like sixty quid for it. Ill pay it anyway i think. Ok get in touch people. Cheers

I need the money, my girlfriend gave me the money to buy the three new ones. I am not sure if I'll sell the new ones, as they are so lovely, but if i get a good offer then i might have to. Make no mistake, im G U T T E D that I have to sell them. Its either that or sell my body to science : )
Anyway, hope that clears it up.
Cheers mate

I'd like to sell the whole collection as a whole if i can.
I've got the three new 747-400's (both ANA Pokemon
: white domestic w/out winglets, and blue international with winglets, and wunala dreaming qantas : YES FINALLY! WOO HOO!) coming on thursday, but I'm not sure i wnat to part with them, as they are just about the nicest models you can buy. I had a whole bunch of models stolen by one of my mates out of my flat, i had an ANA 777-300 Special livery, a Singapore 747-300 Big Top in the old livery, a Pan Am 727 adv. with winglets, and a SAS 737-600 HERPA, and the Chrome 757 Air 2000 Gemini jets. The real killer was the SIA Tropical Megatop 9V-SPK. The pride and joy of my collection, and the finest model Dragon have ever produced. Gone. I was so gutted. But I know who took them, so I'm gonna ask him for them back. Nicely. If he doesnt, then ill break his legs. : )

If anyone has any models I dont have, im interested, as i got paid yesterday, and have about 30 quid i can spend on planes.

best wishes
CHRIS

Cheers Sinlock and QF-INT.
My problem is this. If I sell them individually, I will end up with a whole bunch of models which everyone has and i cant sell. Though when you think about it, no-ones gonna buy the Pokemons and BA Africa if they cant get them separately, and who has the kind of money that i want for the whole collection lying around? Not me thats for sure. Do you guys think i would do better to sell them individually, or do you guiys have a better idea?

What should i do?.
Ive got this wish that i could go on buying the models i want, and not sell my beloved collection.

Maybe i'll win the lottery....
suddenly selling my body to science doesnt seem such a bad idea

Best Wishes
CHRIS

First off, Don't think your going to get what you paid for you more common model's. Unless you tell your buyer that thay are not opened. and thats not the truth.
I'm just trying to say that your not going to get 20.00us
for a UAL A320 or 35.00us for a BA 777 "Union Jack"

Your best bet is to sell on E-bay, Sell your "truly rare" one's on there own. and sell some sets. Such as Airlines, Aircraft type, Aircraft maker, or Model brand.

Anyway, good luck finding a buyer. But most likely it will not be me, I am very picky about what I buy and you have only 3 I would want.

Went to Gatwick last weekend and saw some really cool planes. Saw a really nice Continental 767-400. Dragon make it, and I want it. Other models im after are:

Continental 737-800
Singapore Airlines A340-300 Celestar
LAN Chile 767-300ER
Alitalia A321
Korean MD11
Philipines MD11
Gemini Air Cargo DC10F
Northwest current Colours DC10-30 (saw at Gatwick: nice)
Lufthansa 747-400
Thai A330
Thai 777-200/300
Thai 747-400
South African Airlines A320
US Airways A330
US Airways 757
Delta 757 soaring spirit
Swissair A330
Saudi L1011 New Colours

Also does anyone know where I can get any KLM 1-400 models. I saw a post earlier that claimed that dragon made a KLM 747-400 ? when was this? I love KLM, and I’d love any KLM aircraft that are around. I’d like a KLM MD11, and a KLM A310. I would also like a Royal Jordanian A340-300, and a Cathay A330. I’d like to see an Iberia MD90 and a Alitalia MD90 from the new dragon mould. I flew on an American Airlines A300-600R to Boston last year, and I’d like one of those too. The United 777 model by dragon isn’t that good, and I’d like to see it re-vamped and re-released with the new landing gear, and a better rendition of the actual lettering which isn’t very good. I heard Gemini are releasing a whole bunch of really exciting new planes such as a Corsair A330-200, and a BA A320. Ive been told that Easyjet have a die cast model signed up and due for release next year, and so do Balair and SAS for their new Airbus widebodies. They have a Korean Jumbo on the drawing board too, which will be nice. Ive also heard that Dragon are looking at releasing a Avianca 767-300, which I cant wait for either. Anyone got any more rumours they wanna share?

First you have money problems and want to sell your collection....

Now you say you just got a bigger credit limit so you can put yourself further into debt?

You are a fool to yourself.

If you just wanted to list your collection (which i am thinking you did) Why didn't you just do that instead of playing arouund with people. It's not nice. If you say your going to sell to people then have the decentcey to honour your word.Have you not got better things to spend your money on anyway? I mean fair enough spend maybe a max of £100 on models, but you have just gone wayyyyyyy over the top and your credit cards gona start burning a hole in your pocket soon  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

CHRISBA777ER, I know where you can get the KLM 747-400 from Dragon Wings, go to http://www.aero-centre.com it is in the rare modles sention of the site, I have been thinking about getting it too, but it $75.00 (US dollars)

Also Dragon Wings does have a United B777 with the new landing gear avalible it's a ETOPS version (it's model # 55057) I have it  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

And the Continental 737-800 was only avalible if you participated in the "Dragon Wings Mileage Program" where you collect the mileage points found on the box tops, then send in certain amount of points for the plane. I collected 100,000 point to get the Continental 737-800. Its' a great model to have  Smile (they have the mileage program ever year, each year with a new limited model)
