It says there is no flight school but it does say there are two single engine planes based on the airport there. How old this info is I don't know but if there are planes there there is always the possibility of asking one of the owners if you can go up with them (I'm guessing you won't be able to rent off a private owner because of insurance).

Your best bet might be Great Lakes Air in St. Ignace just about a 5 minute hop from the island by air. They might be able to steer you in the right direction.
