AIRLINERS.NET CREW CHAT OPERATOR
I thought I'd share a little gem I found published in my local newspaper, The West Australian, on Tuesday 11 September. It was written by a kid (presumably 9 years old) in Year 4 as part of The West Australian's Young Writers' Contest 2012.
Has anyone written a fictional aircraft disaster story?

Wow that is amazing coming from a nine-year-old, thanks for posting. Additionally, I love the idea of Freedom Air having Airbus A340-600s....if only
A few very small errors from the story:
- Freedom Air's ICAO code is actually FOM.
- Airbus A340s have side-sticks - not control columns.
- One can't even see the wingtip from the flight-deck of an A340-300, so one certainly couldn't see an engine from a -600's flight deck.
.....Not that I would expect a 9 year-old (or even their teacher) to know any of these things.
