We’re just about through Season 4 now (Will there be a Season 5?)and last evenings episode had lots of Electra action along with the great sound of those Allisons spooling up!....... Also a nice tribute to former Chief Pilot Arnie Schreder who passed away last spring.
CBC is running a series also based in Yellowknife ‘Arctic Air’ but I just can’t get into that one......too much fiction for my liking.

I still watch it and I've read that they were filming episodes for Season 5.
Hopefully the episodes from Seasons 4 and 5 will make their way here to the U.S. Info about when/ if new episodes will air hasn't been easily found and I've read that NBC has been looking into making some changes at The Weather Channel, so it's hard to tell if shows like Ice Pilots still be shown on that channel.

We are only on Series 3 in the UK (well, I think it's Series 3). Arnie left Buffalo in the last series and was flying a DC4 on a Dambusters filming in this series we are watching.
By my calculations, we should be seeing another two series at least.

Quoting CalebWilliams (Reply 4): Is this the show where they fly DC-3s in Alaska and surrounding areas?
Not Alaska (dthat is a different show), its Northwest Territories in Canada.
But they do fly DC-3, C-46 & Lockheed Electra. I don't think they use the Dc-4 anymore?

They still use the Dc-4, it's just not on the show...
This season has actually only shown L-188s, DC-3s, CL-215s and a single episode with C-46s.
I still watch it... gives me something to watch while the missus watches the "reality" competition show of the day...
I think this season ends this week here in Canada, Season 4 that is.

Then I won't spoil anything...

I watched a few episodes from the very first season. I think the show is garbage. It insists upon itself. They make it look so dramatic. On top of that, it makes everyone else who works up North look like total "cowboys". We're (pilots in the arctic) a lot more professional than this show portrays us to be.
Not worth a minute of my time. I rather read A.net rants...

I used to watch it, but a lot of the rampies are too whiney about having to pay their dues ... kinda ruins the show for me.
Quoting vio (Reply 7): They make it look so dramatic.
I agree with this as well, they turn a burnt out landing light bulb into a life threating situation ... which resolves into nothing after the commerical break ... but almost all "reality" shows are like that nowadays
