I've been to a few: IAD, DFW, MCI, PDX. They're an enjoyable opportunity to meet and chat with people who have similar interests. I'm not a big collector of stuff so the dealer room isn't that interesting to me, I mostly enjoyed the tours and social events (the banquet on Saturday night is usually good with an interesting speaker). Now that I'm married, I'm not sure I'd go again unless it was local or it was in a location with other interesting things for us to do too outside of the show.

It was my first show so I can't compare to others. I bought a Canvas of JFK in the 1970's with a few European Heavies. They had a bunch of models-- Gemini Jets, Dragon, Herpa etc. They had FSX set up (all default stuff) with a yoke, peddles and throttle. I was able to fly around while kids stood behind me waiting their turn. Lots of miscellaneous items such as dishware, key chains etc.
I did not go on any of the tours because, honestly, I've been in aviation and worked for C5 so its all old hat for me, although I think the Tower tour would've been neat.
