I very much enjoy the historical research I have to do for this project, of course I have scanned a.net and google for pictures and videos. Still, I though in this forum there might be some people who have unreleased pictures, videos, maps, or information, anything that could help me get my model as realistic as possible. Especially photos of the building from angles you don't see often, e.g. what happens on the ground floor in terms of tunnels etc.
What I would also appreciate a lot are information about what aircraft were standing where and for what reasons. I would love to be able to place my models according to realistic times of day. So when the Concordes were there for the 11 a.m. departure, I guess there would be full house in terms of transatlantic 744s and 777s. What about other constellations during the day?
I gather the two Concorde were always parked at the two inner gates of the south side of the eastern pier - where there sometimes more than two? Where would a third one be standing? Was the second Concorde a stand-by plane, what about the Charters? I have a SriLankan 343, will buy a few Qantas 744s, what other airlines were there at that time? Air Malta, Asiana, KLM?
Thank you very much for your help, this project is very tough and time consuming, but it is even more fun when I can share it with people who share my passion.
