Hello Everyone,
My name is Raghav Somani, and Im a collector of Airline Baggage Tags from India.
I've been collecting since I was 8 years old, and generally try to collect various Baggage Tags, Luggage Tags, Decals from Airlines past and present.
Heres are a few small online article about my collection from a few years ago.

You have a Guinness World Record and you're asking us?

I'm curious--how many baggage tags do you have?

And from what parts of the world are you looking for?

Hello Braniff747SP,
Well indeed I am, since I am certain that I do not have all the Baggage Tags around the world, and certainly not as many as I would like.
My current collection stands at aroun 1100 different baggage tags, although nearly all of them are no longer in circulation as I have been actively collecting them for the last few years.
Im basically looking for baggage tags from all parts of the world. Naturally, i have a larger number in my current collection of places like India and Asia, and airlines from North and South America, Africa and Europe form a minority.
Would be grateful for any addition to my collection.

Thanks and Regards,

I used to collect luggage tags from all the airlines at Heathrow when i was a boy. I have a whole box full of them.

What sort of tags are you really interested in? I've got ones from BEA / BOAC onwards, in the days when they actually printed the destination on the tag itself.

If you can narrow your specific interest a bit I might be able to help.

I have collections from a few airlines, Braniff (50 unique city tags), Eastern (52 unique), AirTran (39 unique), Southwest (39 unique), PanAm (51 unique), Delta (50 unique), America West (28 unique), and PeoplExpress (45 unique). Here is a photo of my Braniff collection, and a single PanAm tag. I call them luggage destination tags. I have extra duplicates from some of these airlines and cities.
Braniff destination luggage tags from 1982.

Braniff tags are awesome; the fact that you've framed them makes it even better.

Hello Everyone..
I generally collect all kinda of baggage and luggage tags and decals, they would include destination tags, although i do not collect the bar code strips that they print in recent times for cabin baggage tags.

Would really appreciate if we could maybe connect over IM or email? Im dont think the Instant Messages are working on the forum?

Raghav

I have a ton of baggage tags from USA airlines in the early and mid-2000s. They're the bag tags you get at check in desks and write your name and address on. If you are interested send me an email!

This is a little bit off topic since i really have nothing to offer in ways of luggage tags, former or new ones..

But, how would i go about getting my hands on some contemporary tags from various airlines? I use luggage tags to ID my school laptop bag (University branded bag, 100s of people have a bag identical to mine!) and after a while they wear down. My current LH tag is just the strap and a bit of yellow paper what's left of it

It would be sweet to have some US airline tag/s to addorn my bag with...how could i get a hold of one (or several) though? I could possibly get a hold of some SAS tags and make a correspondance exchange with someone.
