KLM to offer 'Farewell MD-11' book

Also, this pretty much verifies that the MD-11 will end in October quashing all rumours about "into the winter operations"

I don't read dutch (cue: LFutia). Hopefully it's the same sort of format, only in goodbye fashion, as the LH 748 and 380 welcome books. Those books are neat.

Thank you for the shoutout Scotty! I cannot wait for this book to come out! Hopefully I can get it shipped to the US

Met vriendelijke groeten,

Why would you not be able to arrange that. If KLM don't send them to the US themselves yu can always get a Dutch spotter to arrange something.

Nothing's been confirmed, but the title of the book is in English so I suppose that would be a strong hint that the book will be English or bi-lingual.

The book is available for pre-order with printing expected around october. It costs 25,11 euro plus 8 euro for delivery within the Netherlands.

http://www.md-11.nl/ (Dutch only)

For deliveries abroad drop a message to info@md-11.nl. The website mentions "that the book is Dutch written", quite surprising considering the title of the book is English!

I have recieved an answer:

From 23 July they can send the book to Chicago. Shipping is 26 Euros to the US with total being 51,11 Euros / (roughly 70 USD). It is cheaper to have it mailed to someone in NL as it would only cost 31,11 Euros ( roughly 42 USD) but then you are on your own as to how to get it to the US.

Also a reminder that the book is FULLY written in Dutch.

Hope that helps anyone that has questions.
