Hey all of you KCLE spotters... the 737-900 has arrived at Cleveland... It is flying the LAS-CLE-LGA and a few other routes... My first impression was DARN THAT THING IS LOOOONG!

PS, please contact me if you are willing to sign a petition to try to get the Dept. of Port Control to build or allow a spotting area along the new Brookpark Road. My e-mail is bandimal@yahoo.com.

Happy spotting,
redngold

A^A has put a 738 in ROC-A first here-due to the groundings. It's still here (or it's another one) on Sat. Maybe it'll be a common sight. I also read that A^A will retire all 727's by Nov 1st.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could actually spot at CLE? Redngold, you may want to post on your website that spotting ANYWHERE is now forbidden. This includes, outdoor spectator deck, general spectator deck to only ticketed pax., W. Hangar Rd., Grayton and IX Center Dr., and lastly, there is now a city of Cleveland officer stationed at the mound at the 100th Bomb Group Restaurant. This officer will turn away even the most innocent looking people, like an elderly couple we passed on our way to have dinner at the restaurant. The cop went over to them and said, "You have to leave." So spotting at CLE is a thing of the past, at least for a few months until the major threat is over.

Actually, this evening the security at 100th Bomb Group was allowing people to sit there, after inspection. It seems most determined by the particular officer on duty at the time.

P.S. KCLE look at my website, I posted closure information last night.

The Tenable Security officer there last night was very mean and racist. I told him I didn't like what he said to me, and he told me he would call the police. So I got his badge number, and he was the one who ended up being relieved of duty by another, less ignorant, officer. I didn't stay around to see what happened, since I didn't want to risk arrest, but let's say if they're going to have security, they should have someone who's not going to make inflammatory remarks about Arabs in the process.

I will continue to update my website if and when conditions change. For now, those of you who drive a significant distance or need to get rides to spot at CLE, I would say it's not worth the drive.
