I build model planes from plastic kits in boxes, some with many parts, some with fewer. I enjoy the hobby immensely - it gives me a good vent for my creativity, and builds my patience. I build 1/144 and 1/200 airliners, with the occasional off-scale 1/100 or 1/72 kit. I also paint all of them by hand and use decals.

The models I collect are "snap-fit " models which come in 6 or 7 pieces already pre-printed and just need to be clicked together. They come with a neat stand and most airlines sell them. You can get them from most model shops and cost about 20 dollars in the US, 15 pound or less in the UK. I have a collection of about 400.
