I am playing that game right now, I bought over 50% share of "Honey Airlines" and use the share right to let it shut down, I am owner of the "Phoenix Airlines" other 2 airlines are strong, do you know how can I make other airlines easy shut down??
And also...
Do you think take the flights from "travel agents" or fly your own schedule flights will easy to earn profit?
My situation:
Airlines: Phoenix Airlines
Number of airlines in my game (included me):3
Based: Hong Kong
Routes: Schedule for 10
Plane:
1x A300
1x A310
2x A320
1x B767-300ER
1x B777-300
1x B737-400
1x B757-300
1x L-1011
Only 1 A320 and B737-400/757-300 are new planes, others all are second hand...

the L-1011, C5A was retired...
replace with B777-300
now most of my fleet are A300/B767-300ER/B777-300
with 50 routes, the busiest flight is Toyko-Seoul, 40 flights a week
and I don't know you know or not, here is the tips for this game:
Go to "Duty Free" to buy alcohol, and give the repair guy, you can got cheaper in reapir cost. but of course, not very safety for that
Also, buy the "music box" in duty free and give it to the guy sell oil, then you can attack other airlines

I've only just recently started playing AT. Dunno if you know this but if you type 'thinkpad' at the start as well you get the laptop so you don't have to keep going back to your office to plan your flights.
Where do I get a complete list of rules from it??
P.S. Thanks for the tip about 'donaldtrump'. Didn't know about that, took me four hours to be able to buy one aircraft!!!!!
Does anyone else have problems when planning cargo? If there is no gate free (after you've planned it) you try and amend it and the game crashes and throws you out

I believe that you can only have 6 though. You do have to go to the Airport Manager's office to bid for them, but I have never had any problem with someone outbidding me.

Do any of your competitors ever compete with you on the routes. They never do in my game. I almost have 100% market share on all my routes and I can raise my fares as high as I want.
I've gotten to the point where there are not enough new employees to hire to keep up with the planes I buy. It doesn't seem like there is much else left to do in the game.

I have two games going right now, both as Falcon lines. one is bases out of Chicago, it is an all A320 fleet I have about 30 of them and use Southwest style routing. The other is Tower II, It is a JFK based airline that uses all 747-100 fleet, most of which are used! I did it right though, they have been restored to perfect condition and have top-of-the line interiors and service. I have 10 and use them on three routes, JFK>ORD>LAX, JFK>LHR, and JFK>TXL.

Get them and take them over to the pop machine over by the museum and the cargo building. Click on the pop machine and the gloves will disappear and a drink will show up in the square where the gloves were. Take the drink and give it to the guy at the magazine stand. then click on the stink bombs that are sitting on the magazine stand. Then you have stink bombs to use on the passengers of your competetors.

Yeah i want to know how to own more than 25% of a compnay as i am "Sunshine Airways" and i own over $1.5 Billion worth of Falcon Airways but i cant get above owning 25% of them. I buy more than $1.5 million of shares from then each day. I have tried not buying them to see if they keep selling but then another airlines buys there shares if i'm not quick enough.
So what can i do. I've tried some nasty tricks with engine failures, strikes etc but this has done nothing but make me give them 3 million in damages.
Help!
by the way: They own 48 airplanes. I own 22 but am only just below them with pax numbers as i have an entire 777-300 fleet.

As I mention before, My "Falcon Line" merged with "Honey Airlines"... and I own 28% of Phoneix Airways and Sunshine Airlines.... As same as BA747-436, I cannot own over 50% for those airlines... Anyone know how can I do it??
And I find a funny thing, buy a new B757-300 is more expensive than B777-300.........
Maybe you guys dunno... Airlines Tycoon games format is 90% same as 5 years ago, A Taiwanese game company product a game called "Air Master 2"... also... the other tycoon series games, also have the same Chinese game release in 3-4 years ago already....
For me, now I operated mostly A300 and B777-300... I have 36 planes and 1 A300, 1 B767-300ER and 4 B777 are used for charter flight...

I found some special today.... when you go to Plane Dealer, make a new plane, after finish deal, the overhead drawer will drop down, take the bra, give to Duty Free Shop sales girl, you can get the "house foot" stuff on the upper left side, then give it to the guy in bar....
and go to Aircraft maintance, take the oil.... but dunno what to use for yet!!

When I played the game, I found out that if you don't buy all 20% shares when the game starts, sometimes a competitor will sell the majority to buy airplanes etc.
27 NWAirlines: I don't have any answers about how to take over the airlines. I think that I have only done that once. I don't know how to make them sell their shares
